Chapter 8

Chapter 8 – Cain’s POV

A/N: Sorry for taking so long to upload but since schools back my mum has literally put me on a computer ban :/

 I realise I haven’t done a lot in D’Shane’s POV so the next chapter will be written in his POV x

I watched as Dominic’s car pulled into the school car park waiting eagerly for Soraya to come. When I saw that Soraya didn’t appear to be in the car with Dominic I was confused.

“Hey Cain,” Dominic said as he came towards me

“Hey, no Soraya today?” I asked whilst trying to appear nonchalant

“She’s still ill so I thought it’d be better if she had today of to fully recover,” Dominic replied

Ill? I know for a fact Soraya isn’t ill... maybe she’s figured out we’re mates... maybe she’s just trying to avoid me...

“Damn I’m gonna miss her sulkiness today,” I laughed quietly to myself

“Errm okay man,” Dominic replied looking at me weirdly

“Go and see her” My wolf urged me...

“Err do you know what Dominic ... I just remembered I have some pack stuff to sort out yeah ... I’ll probably get back in the afternoon in time for fourth period ... cover for me?”

“Sure Cain ...” Dominic replied quickly

That’s the one thing I like about this guy ... he’s a true friend ... he’s always got my back... and that’s why I shouldn’t make a move on his sister. Mate or not.

******* Soraya’s POV

I managed to sleep for another couple of hours until I was woken up by knocking at the front door. Rolling over to check my alarm clock I saw that it was only 8.30 ...

It couldn’t be Dominic as he said he wouldn’t come and check on me until at least break which isn’t until 11.

Knock Knock

Sighing I went downstairs to open the door only to find it was Cain.

“Hi Cain ... what are you doing here... Dominic didn’t send you did he?” I asked

“No, no ... I was just passing by really ... just to make sure you’re okay,” Cain said quietly

“Oh you didn’t have to honestly ... I’m not even really that ill I just feel so tired... I didn’t feel like school today that’s all,” I replied

“Oh okay... can I come in?” Cain asked suddenly

“Errm sure... sorry the place is a bit of a mess though ... I haven’t had time to tidy up ... I only just woke up,” I replied

“I hadn’t noticed ... you still look beautiful to me,” Cain whispered huskily

I could’ve sworn as Cain said that his eyes changed from chocolate brown to a lust filled black however it changed back so quickly I couldn’t be sure.

“W- would you like anything to drink?” I asked quickly changing the subject

“What have you got to offer me?” Cain replied

As he said that his eye’s roved up and down my body, as if suggesting he was hoping I would be offering him more than just a drink. I shook my head to clear of all the x rated images that suddenly popped into my mind.

“Only apple or orange juice I’m afraid ... Dominic’s finished everything else and mum has been really busy at work so no one has done the shopping,”

“Don’t worry, that’s fine, could I have apple juice please?”

I reached up to the top shelf to get Cain a glass and heard Cain emit s low aroused growl from his chest.

When I had poured the apple juice and I handed Cain the glass our fingertips brushed against each other leaving a tingling sensation on my fingers.

“Do you want anything to eat?” I asked my voice going slightly higher than usual.

“Only you,” Cain whispered hoarsely, putting the glass down

“P- Pardon,” I squeaked

“You heard me Soraya,”

Cain was walking closer and closer towards me and I suddenly found myself with my back pressed up against the kitchen counter. I put my hands out as if to warn Cain not to come any closer towards me and gasped when I heard another low growl come from him.

“You don’t seriously expect me to believe that you don’t want me,” Cain asked gesturing to my hands

“I- I don’t” I stammered

“So how come when I do this-”

Just then Cain’s lips crashed onto mine. I parted my lips slightly letting out a moan and Cain used this opportunity to gain entrance to my mouth. I matched his passionate kiss intensly until he broke away, resting his forehead on mine.

“- you respond to me?” Cain asked cockily

“You shouldn’t have done that,” I whispered quietly, my lips still swollen from the kiss

 “But I wanted to Soraya, and you wanted it too ... you can’t even try to deny it ...not after that,”

“Please go Cain, I feel tired again,” I sighed turning away from him

“I’m warning you now Soraya... what I want, I get.”

And with that Cain left the house. I stayed motionless in the kitchen until I heard his car driving away.

******* Cain’s POV

She want’s me ... that much I know, so why is she rejecting me?
