I push my way out of the crowded classroom and into the hallway swimming with eager students.

I make a quick stop at my all too small locker before walking toward the exit of the school.

Great it's raining.

I take in the fresh smell of rain that filled the crisp spring air. I take a look around at everyone departing for the long weekend before shoving my earbud into my ear and pressing play on my phone. The sound of The Script floods my ears as I steadily walk down the sidewalk making my way home, careful to avoid the pooling puddles of rain water.

I send a quick text to Sam to make sure he is still coming by my house later to watch a movie later.

Sam is my best friend and has been since about two years ago when we got paired to be lab partners in biology. Sam has light brownish hair and dark green eyes, don't get me wrong Sam is definitely good looking and everything but he is just my best friend and nothing more.

Me and Sam aren't very popular at school but we have some friends. But I wouldn't really call us the extremely geeky type either even though we both are smart. We are just in the middle, and neither of us really mind.

I always wondered why Sam wasn't popular because he had a really like-able personality and like I said he wasn't ugly.

As for me, I knew I would never be popular because Of how shy I am. I keep quiet during school and don't really talk to anyone except Sam and a few other friends I have.

I turn onto my street and speed walk the last part of my long walk so I can get inside and away from the rain which was now coming down very hard.

I open the door and swiftly walk through carefully shutting the heavy door behind me. I slip off my soaked grey moccasins and head upstairs to my room. I drop my heavy black bag off my shoulder and remove my earbuds from my ears before making my way toward the bathroom.

I began to ring my drenched hair into the sink and remove the excess black under my eyes from my running eyeliner and mascara.

Once I finished, I threw my light brown hair into a quick messy bun before heading back to my room. I changed out of my jeans and into some more comfier leggings and put on a fresh pair of warm fuzzy socks.

I figured it would be a while till anyone got home or until Sam got here so I went and sat on my bed and started scrolling through my phone. Before I knew it I was drifting off...
