After I returned to the table, the rest of the dinner was quite awkward. Not like it wasn't before but I just couldn't shake what Brad said from my thoughts. What if I told you it wasn't me? Of course I wouldn't believe him over my best friend. Sam wouldn't lie to me, he told me the whole story and I know what Brad did, yet he is trying to convince me otherwise. He needs to get that through his mind so he can quit bugging me about it.

Once we got home it was 11 at night and I debated calling Sam just to
chat and tell him about what Brad said but I decided against it. Instead
I stayed up watching movies and scrolling through twitter until the early morning hours like I always did. I finally felt my eyes start drooping in at about 3 so I made the decision to actually close my eyes and go to bed.

....................

I woke up Sunday morning around 11:30. I stayed in bed, just laying there on my phone for about a half hour before I actually decided to get up. I made my way downstairs to search for some food. I found an almost empty box of cereal and a blueberry muffin. I poured a glass of Apple juice and began eating. I figured since I didn't call him last night I should probably call Sam and see if he wants to come over or something. Picking up my phone, I quickly scrolled through my favorites list before landing on Sam's contact and pressing it. After a few rings I heard his deep voice come through the other end of the phone.

"Hey," Sam answered

"Hey, You doing anything today?"

"No, nothing much just hanging around"

"I just was wondering if you wanted to come over or something."

"Yeah sure, I'll be over in a little bit," I smiled at his response.

"Okay see you soon," I hung up the phone and finished off the end of my 'breakfast' before going up stairs to my room to change out of my pjs. I decided to just throw on my usual leggings and sweatshirt.

About a half hour after I got off the phone the doorbell rang, signaling Sam's arrival. I slowly got up from my position on the coach and walked over opening the door for Sam.

He came in and we both took a seat on the coach. I decided that I should just tell him what Brad said.

"So.. you know how I had to go to that dinner with the Simpsons last night?" I asked Sam.

"Yeah, how bad was it?" Sam questioned back.

"It was ok but Brad spoke to me about... you know" I didn't really know what to say to him.

"What did he say?"

"He tried to tell me it wasn't him who did it to you" I finally came out and said. Sam's eyes widened after hearing what I said.

"What the fuck is his problem?! What did you say?" Sam angrily responded.

"I told him I didn't believe him obviously, but why do you think he would say something like that to me?"

Sam opened his mouth, "because he wants everyone to think he is innocent, he lies to everyone about the whole thing and you know what it's really starting to get to me." Sam looked away from my eyes after finishing his sentence. He stood up from his place on the sofa and started walking towards the door.

"Where the hell are you going?" I questioned Sam. He didn't answer me back, instead he opened the door and slammed it behind him. What the hell? Sam has been acting kinda off lately and getting upset at me for no reason and it is really getting on my nerves. Whatever, when he is gonna stop being such a dick he can come talk to me. But until then I'm not calling him because I'm sick of him acting like this. With that in mind I realized that I now had nothing to do for the rest of the day. It's nearly 1 in the afternoon and I'm at home alone. Maybe I should do what I do best... Watch movies. I know I watch Netflix too much but I can't help it. So that's what I did basically for the rest of the day, watch my Netflix.

...................

Soon enough it's Monday morning and I am walking through the doors of the hell they call school. I really hoped Sam would stop being a dick and try to talk to me today because I wasn't going to give in and talk to him first. My daily morning locker stop wasn't the same without Sam there talking to me. After grabbing my books I shut my locker and started heading toward my homeroom. I scanned the hallway a few times just to see if maybe Sam would show up but I couldn't spot him. I saw the faces of the students, most of which I couldn't stand and then my eyes locked on a familiar face. Their freshly blackened eyes were glued to the ground and their hand was cupping the barely visible scratch on their jaw.
