Butterflies erupted through out my whole body as our lips moved against each other's. When we pulled away a slight blush creeped onto my cheeks as I realized that we actually just kissed. What the hell? I was here kissing Brad, who I thought I would never even have a civil conversation after what had happened with him and Sam or what I thought had happened between him and Sam. And now Sam who I thought was my best friend had lied straight to my face to try and conceal his screw up.

"Sorry, I don't know why I did that," Brad said while running his fingers through his brown ringlets. I didn't respond back at him because honestly I didn't know what to say, hell I didn't even know what I thought right now! Was I happy he did it? Did I like it?

Well yeah, I did kiss back.

He was moving his eyes across the room avoiding my eyes. I just looked at him, now that the shield of hatred was removed from my eyes I could truly see how beautiful his appearance is. His brown curls rested perfectly on his head and his deep brown eyes just made my knees weak. Jesus Paige what have you got yourself into.

"So do you want to go get some food or whatever?" I finally spoke up in the room that had fallen into an awkward silence. I still had butterflies fluttering around my stomach. He finally met my eyes for the first time since we stopped kissing.

"Uh umm sure, where do you want to go?" He said nervously.

"It doesn't matter to me, we can walk down the strip outside the hotel. We will eventually find somewhere." I said referring to the strip our hotel rested on, there were various restaurants and stores scattered along.

"Alright let's go," he stood up from the bed and walked over to his shoes which were neatly placed by the door.

"Ok I'm going to go get my shoes in my room," I walked out of his room which led me to the open part of his families whole room. When I entered my room I kneeled next to my suitcase seeing that I had yet to unpack my flip flops. All of a sudden I felt sort of nervous, I mean I guess I kinda like Brad and I don't really know how to act. Taking a deep breath I tried to calm my nerves a bit. With digging through my whole suitcase, my clothes lay astray over the floor and I finally pulled my white flip flops from the bottom of my bag.

Standing up I slipped them on my small feet, I also made sure to grab the remainder of the money my dad had given to me earlier. I guess he was right and at this moment I am glad that I ended up taking the money. I quickly checked my appearance in the mirror, and fixed my hair to improve the stray pieces sticking out of my messy bun. When I walked out of my room Brad was sitting on the couch in the open living room area. He looked up from his stare at the tv.

"Ready?" he questioned while pressing the power button on the remote, turning the screen black. I nodded and headed toward the front door, grabbing the key card off the side table and shoving it into my pocket.

The door shut behind us as we made our way to the elevator. The button lit up as I pressed the one with the down pointing arrow. Soon enough the metal doors opened and I ran inside and tried to press the close door button before Brad got in, in attempt to joke around a bit. However he sneaked in before the doors closed and let a laugh escape his lips, as one did mine. My stomach dropped with the silent elevator until the ding signaled we were on the first floor. The Los Angeles heat warmed my skin as we walked onto the palm tree filled street. We headed off down the sidewalk of the strip in search of a place to eat. The silence between us was awkward as we both didn't know what to say after what had unexpectedly happened back at the hotel room. I really hope it doesn't stay like this because it's even worse than when I thought I hated him.

"What about here?" Brad finally broke the antagonizing silence. We are stopped in front of a pizza and sub shop.

"Sure," I smiled. "Anything including pizza and fries, I'm in" we both laughed. He went in front of me to hold the door open for me. "Thanks," when I stepped inside the delicious smell of pizza filled my nose and if on cue I felt my stomach let out a light rumble signaling my hunger.
