Mikey's POV

"Dad, are you home?" I call, closing the door behind me. I don't get a response so I call again. "DAD??!!" Again no response.

I guess I'm home alone... That's weird. My dad's always home when I come home. I haven't been home alone since... since my mother left.

Well, sometimes my dad isn't home, but in that case he always finds someone to 'babysit' me. I hate it when he does that. I'm almost 21 years old, so why do I need a babysitter?

Anyway, it's SO not my dad to leave me home with nobody around.

I'm really getting worried now. It's not like I don't like being alone. I actually love it a lot. My dad's always around and I can never bring friends. I guess I should be happy with this time for myself. But I'm not. I'm worried sick.

I walk inside our living room. Maybe my dad has left a note or something...

I search the whole room, but can't find anything. Eventually I decide to leave it for what it is and sit down on the couch to watch some tv. He'll probably return in a few minutes.

* * * * *

After an hour my dad still isn't home and I'm really getting worried. I walk to my room and unlock my phone to text him.

To dad: dad where are you? (Sent at 5:34)
To dad: DAD??? (Sent at 5:40)

I drop my phone on my bed. Why doesn't he answer me? He always texts back immediately. Something must be wrong.

But I can't help him. I don't know the way to his work. And I can't drive a car.

What should I do?

Call him. Yes, maybe he can't read my messages right now, but he'll answer my call for sure. I click the call button and hold the phone next to my ear.

I wait for a minute but my dad doesn't answer. Should I call the police?

Then I get a message from my dad.

From dad: Hi Mikey, don't worry. I'll be back in an hour. (Sent at 5:51)

I sigh. Everything is fine.

Suddenly I sit up. I just realized I'm home alone. I can do whatever I want!

I quickly run downstairs and get some snacks. After grabbing some food, I drop myself on the couch and turn on the tv.

But as soon as I get bored I start wandering around. While I'm walking through the hallway, my attention is immediately drawn to my dad's work room. I've never really had a chance to look around inside.

So I walk in and sit in my dad's chair. There's a lot of stuff lying all over his desk, including his laptop. My curiosity becomes bigger every second and I open it.

It isn't locked, so I can easily look around on it.

I open his mailbox and see two opened emails from an unknown email address. I decide to read them.

Once I've read them, I read them again. What the heck, I think. Who would send my dad such a weird mail?

Suddenly I smell something weird. It's so gross, it almost makes me puke.

I run towards the window and quickly open it to get some fresh air, but I can still smell it.

Soon I leave my father's room and start looking for the cause of the horrible smell.

First I check the bathroom and then the trash bins, but I can't find the source of the smell. Until I walk into the hallway. The smell hits me like a fist in the face.

I cover my nose with my hand as I walk closer. And there right before our house door, lies a big, stinky diaper.

What the heck, there are no baby's in my house...
