Andy's POV.

"Your name isn't Mikey Dreelan," I say slowly. "It's Mikey Cobban."

With a strange expression on his face he looks away. His eyebrows are pressed together in a frown. "I -I don't believe you," he says and I hear his voice breaking. When he looks up, I can see his eyes are filled with tears. . "I don't want to believe you."

I kneel down in front of him and put my hands on his knees. "Mikey look at me," I say. He bites his lip and looks at me, a sob leaving his mouth. "You have to believe me, Mikey. It's the truth. You can't deny the truth."

"How do I know you're telling the truth?" he asks me. "How do I know you're not lying to me as well? Everyone seems to be lying to me these days. I don't know what to believe anymore." He starts crying again.

"Look," I say, "I can't prove to you whether I'm telling the truth or not, so I don't expect you to believe me, but at least let me try to explain it to you."

He sighs and nods his head. "Go ahead."

"You know Blair was in a band called East 17, right?" I ask and he nods his head in response. "While they were on a tour, Blair met a very special girl. Her name was Rose Cobban and she's your mom."

"My mother's name isn't Rose Cobban. I've never heard that last name before," Mikey says.

I shake my head. "Cobban is her real last name. It's Rose Cobban. Anyway, Blair introduced her to his fellow band mates and they became friends. Not vey long after he fell in love with your mom. However, she didn't like him back, for she was interested in another member of East 17. Brian Harvey."

"Brian Harvey?" Mikey asks. "Is that the name of my real dad?"

"It is," I say. "Your mom and Brian had an one nightstand and your mom became pregnant of you. Unfortunately, Brian didn't want to have to take care of a baby, so he left her."

Mikey's facial expression turns sad again. "He left her?" he says. "So you're saying my father is an egoistic jerk?"

"You could definitely call him that," I agree. "Your mother had nowhere to go. Her parents hated her because she had a baby with someone she hardly knew and she didn't have a lot of money, so Blair let her live with him an took care of her."

"I don't understand why they didn't tell me," Mikey whispers. "Why would they lie to me about that?"

I sigh. "I'm not sure, but I think your mother wanted you to grow up in peace, without having to worry about anything. So maybe that's the reason your mom and Blair decided to make you believe Blair is your real dad. Besides, all East 17 fans thought you were Blair's kid, so they just kind of played along, I guess."

Mikey says nothing and avoids my gaze. Maybe he's still deciding whether he's going to believe me or not. His eyes are fixed on his feet and his mouth is a straight line.

I wait for him to speak for a couple of minutes, until Jack and Brooklyn walk in again. "Andy, you need to come with us," Brooklyn says with a worried look on his face. Without hesitation they grab my arm and pull me away from Mikey.

I face Brooklyn. "What's going on? Why do you look so worried? Does this have to do with Rye?"

Almost immediately Brooklyn nods his head. "Yeah, he's gone totally nuts," he says. "Jack and I tried to talk to him, but he wouldn't listen. He even threw a plate on the ground when we didn't leave when he told us to."
