Chapter 2 The Farm

(Chapter 2) The Farm

Finn awoke in a barn in a pile of hay, from where he was laying down he could see a rather large hole in the roof, when he sat up he noticed his arm was bandaged.

He started to leave the hay pile when a girl called out from the attic of the barn.

"You need your rest."

Finn yelled. "Who's there? Show yourself."

Then a girl dressed in overalls jumped down from the attic, she had dark brown hair that was up in a ponytail, freckles on her nose and had beautiful bright green eyes.

She approached me and roughly pushed me back into the hay bail. I said, "Hey what was that for lady?" Asked Finn. She replied. "My name isn't lady, it's MAY!"

"Ok gosh no need to bite my head off! So... Where am I?" asked Finn.

"You're at my daddy's farm, we provide some of the food for the castle up at the town, impressed?" questioned May.

Then Finn said, "No not really."

Well May did not like this one single bit.

"HOW DARE YOU? I and my daddy work our butts off so there's food for the royalties up at the Castle and in town, and you have the nerve to say that isn't impressive, UGH I can't believe my daddy saved you... You JERK!!" Yelled May.

Then from nowhere a man was standing in the doorway of the barn door, the man says.

"May don't you think you've pestered him enough? That boy has been through a lot."

"BUT DADDYYYYY he said that-"

"No buts, now go get ready for supper." Said the Man.

"Okay." Said May, as she trudged out the barn.

"Hi, how are you feeling today?" Asked the Man.

"I feel fine, um, what's your name mister?"

"My name is John and this is my farm you're on, and I'm sure you could have guessed, that was my daughter May."

"How about you? What's your name?"

"My name is Finn."

"Well nice to meet you Finn, supper will be finished cooking soon, when you're ready go ahead and walk up to the house, just follow the gravel road." John said with a warm smile as he walked out the door.

"Um, ok then." Said Finn.

Finn got out of the hay for the second time and walked out of the barn, it was sunny outside, and so warm. There was lush fields of grain and beans, not far behind the barn there's a forest.then there was the gravel path leading to the house. John was still walking to the house, I could hear cows nearby. Close by there's a stone road leading to a town in the distance, so after taking in his surroundings Finn set out to the house.
