Chapter 6

Hayes put his arm around me and I just smiled at him.

Hayes is just to perfect.

Were at the lake, and it was blazing hot out.

Me and Maddie took of our shirts and shorts.

We saw Nash and Hayes staring at us. We laughed

We walked over to the water and I dipped my toes into the water and it was warm. Of course Hayes picked me up bridal style and threw me in. I just laughed

Then he cannonballed in.

We were splashing each other. 

Skylynn joined us

'Hi, I have to use floaties so I don't drown' she said smiling.

Me and Hayes laughed.

I told Hayes I was gonna jump off the dock into the water, and he watched me.

'Watch this'

Hayes: 'Ok'

I got out of the water and walked on dock, I was on the edge of the dock and stepped back.

I did a back flip it into the water. Hayes, Maddie, and Nash were clapping and yelling

'wooo, go Kate'

Then they joined me.

We were all holding hands, I was holding Hayes and Maddie's hand while Maddie was holding Nash's and we all ran and jumped in.

We all swam back and saw that Chad was making hot dogs. We all grabbed our towels and ran to the food.

I grabbed a hotdog and put ketchup on it.

Me and Hayes ate our hotdogs on grass.

After we finished we went on a walk.

I brought my phone and put my shorts back on.

*HAYES POV*

I brought my phone and checked the time. 4:47 p.m.

I was gonna ask her if she wanted to be my girl friend while we were walking. I was so nervous

We found a rope swing and jumped into the water.

She jumped off after I went.

When we were done, I checked the time and it was 5:53 p.m.

On our way back, I asked Kate,

'would it be crazy if I asked you to be my girlfriend?'

'no' she said smiling.

'Kate Maxwell, will you be my girlfriend?' I said smiling

'Yes!' she said looking at me in the eyes smiling.

I gave her a hug and we walked back.

*KATES POV*

Hayes: 'Kate Maxwell, will you be my girlfriend?'

I said looking in his blue eyes. 'Yes!'  I smiling like an idiot. 

He hugged me and I hugged him back.

I couldn't believe Hayes Grier was MY boyfriend.

I was the happiest person in the entire world.

We walked back to the lake.

*NASH'S POV*

Me and Maddie went on a walk. Where we were going, there was a lot of trees.

As we were walking, I stopped and faced her. I was looking at her eyes.

'Maddie, will you be my girlfriend?' I said grinning.

Maddie: 'Nash I would love to be your girlfriend!' she said giving me a hug.

We walked back to the lake. It was getting dark out.

*MADDIE'S POV*

When Nash asked me to be his girlfriend, I almost screamed.

I have been waiting for this day, even though I haven't known him very long.

I knew he was the one for me.

He pushed me against a tree, put his arms around my neck and kissed me.

*KATE'S POV*

As we were walking back, I was holding Hayes hand.

It was getting dark out.

When we got to Elizabeth and Chad they were ready to leave.

I put my shirt over my bathing suit. Then I wrapped the towel around me because I started to get cold.

I checked the time 6:58 p.m.

Me and Hayes got in the car, Skylynn was asleep in her car seat.

Hayes put his arm around me and I rested on his shoulder.

I really liked Hayes. Maybe even loved.

We got to Hayes house and he walked me home. He's such a gentleman. We were infront of our house.

Hayes looked me in the eyes and hugged me. I hugged him back then stared into his eyes. I could feel us leaning in.

We were kissing.

It was perfect.

Maddie walked past us and said,

'Ok you two love birds, Kate needs to come home now.' she laughed while smiling. Then waved to Nash.

I gave Hayes a last hug then followed Maddie inside.

I went upstairs to my room, took a quick shower, brushed my teeth then washed my face.

I put my hair in a side braid then hopped on my bed.

I fell asleep smiling because today was just to perfect.
