day 5, week 1.
Luke barely slept last night. Even though he has been having sleep problems for a while now, since he always gets really bad nightmares, he had barely slept. He doesn't know why, but it could have been because he kept thinking. He always thinks, both about good and bad things; but mainly bad.
Today is Friday so all Luke has to do is survive today and he has two days to relax. As he begins to get ready for school, he hears his phone go off. He looks at it and sees a notification that he got a text message.
hazel: do you think it would be cool if our pillows could record dreams?
luke: uh maybe. depends on what dream
hazel: i had this great dream last night and i can't remember it! i know it was interesting coz i was in space and talked to aliens but that's all i remember and i'm mad i want moreee
luke: sounds fun
Luke gets ready for school, putting on a simple hoodie and jeans. He puts on a beanie as well as his infamous bracelets. Once he is ready he eats some leftovers for breakfast and quickly makes his lunch, then begins to walk to school.
The school day goes by quickly with no real difficulty. He receives his usual stares and laughs as well as some complains from teachers. Once the bell rings, signifying the end of the day, everyone runs out the door, leaving Luke the only one remaining as he slowly makes his way down the hallway to his locker. Once he has gotten the books he needs for homework, that he will probably not do, he walks out of the building, happy not having to be there for the next two days.
As part of his routine, he walks over to the little coffee shop on the outskirts of town. It may seem very typical that he has to work at a coffee shop but it was the only place that was willing to hire him and Luke was desperately looking for a source of money. Only one problem; human interaction.
As he entered the shop, he quickly walks behind the counter, getting greeted by his coworker Amy as he puts on an apron. Luke feels a little less shy here then at school since Michael isn't here; and hopefully never will be.
He feels his phone go off in his pocket, so he takes it out, being met with yet another text from Hazel.
hazel: happy weekend, do you have any plans?
luke: no
hazel: oh well that's still good, you have time to yourself to relax
luke: that's why i like weekends
hazel: that's another thing to the list of things i know about you, your name is luke, you like blink, good charlotte and green day and like weekends
luke: wow you're actually keeping track
hazel: lmao of course
hazel: so how about a game of 20 questions to celebrate the weekend? :D
luke: uhh
hazel: too soon?
luke: well um i guess?
hazel: wait i guess to the game of 20 questions or i guess to it being too soon? i is confused
luke: i guess to it being too soon
luke: plus i'm busy right now
hazel: damn you really had my hopes up there for a second
hazel: but that's okay
Luke looks up from his phone as he hears the door opening and a customer entering the shop. Luke sighs, knowing he has to take their order as Amy is busy.
luke: i gotta go
hazel: to feed your turtle?
luke: no for real.
hazel: uh alright. seya
