Now, let's backtrack a bit so you can understand what's happening. How I met this boy, why I'm an underage girl drinking a non-alcoholic drink on a Saturday night alone in a bar.
It all started from the first few days of Junior year, summer had gone by and left us all in a hurry. Most of us needed time to adjust from all the countless nights that we didn't have to think about our homework and going to our 7:30 am class the next day.
And of course who would ever forget about their summer love? May it be people who are in a long distance relationship for the summer and had fallen into the trap of the thing I call the my bae is far away, a little flirting wouldn't hurt, right? And to the next phase which is I still love my bae! But a little kiss wouldn't hurt anybody, right? Until you go to the last phase which is Nobody will know if nobody will tell, right?
I pity all those who had their significant other do that to them. I hate cheaters- I hate them with a passion! Nobody deserves to get played like that no matter how nasty their attitude is, how they are cheaters as well.
I went inside the school building and saw a lot of familiar faces-
"Poppy!" Someone shouted.
I turned around and saw my bestfriend, "You gotta help me."
"What did you do now?" I asked waiting for her to tell me what happened.
"It's quite a long story." She said. "So, remember my family and I went to Nevada this vacation?"
How could I not? I spent my vacation in our shop cleaning, repairing and working on cars because I had no friends to spend time with. Well, I didn't mind since I got paid.
Iris pulled me into an empty classroom, looked around for any people that's in here.
As my mom says, "College won't pay itself."
"And?" I said urging her to continue the story.
"Well, I might have cheated on him." She murmured.
"What!" I exclaimed. "Iris, why would you jeopardize your 1 year relationship to a summer fling! I am so disappointed in you."
"I'm sorry, Poppy. It was... I was... ugh!."
"Stop making excuses." I said rolling my eyes. "It's not me who you should apologize to."
"Was it a one-time thing?" I asked.
"It was supposed to-"
"Supposed to?! My god, Iris! I didn't know why I asked that because that didn't make anything better."
"I know." She said defeated. Her brows furrowed and didn't utter a word. I sighed and looked at her, I can't believe that Iris would do that to Adam.
"So, what do you want to do? Because in all honesty, Iris I don't know what to do to help you." I said.
"Help me break up with Adam." She said with pleading eyes.
"It's your problem, Iris. I don't want to be involved in any way." I said. "I love you like a sister and all, but you should face the consequence of your stupidity."
"That's harsh." She said.
"Harsher than sleeping with a guy that's not your boyfriend?" I asked.
She pursed her lips at that.
"You should have broken up with Adam before you slept with another guy." I said bitterly.
"I'm sorry, Poppy! I didn't want anything to happen, in all honesty. We just had too many drinks and.. and-"
