"Iris, that's an impulsive decision." I said.
"Want to see impulsive?" She asked.
"No! Whatever you're going to do, just don't."
"See this?" She asked showing me her phone with an ad that there's an apartment just outside campus.
"No!"
"Too late, I already called the owner before I came in here. I actually gave two months advance. Poppy, You don't have to pay, you already pay me when I help you on your Break up planning." She said.
"What about my free dorm room?" I asked.
"What do you want? An apartment that's very space-y, has faster wifi, you get unlimited privacy since our rooms are far apart and you have your own kitchen and a living room? Or this hella small bougie room where your cute RA has a huge crush on you and he has keys to your room where he can sneak in where you are sleeping."
"Jack's not that bad." I said defending him. He has been nice to me eversince I moved to train in UCLA which was the third week of May.
"I'm going home tonight and I'm going to get my things so I can move tomorrow." She said.
"You're really serious about this." I said.
"Yes, I am! You don't need to pay me anymore, Poppy. I make more in our business."
"Of course you make more, what's 30% of the salary of the Break up planning occupation to your high positioned occupation in your family business." I said stating facts.
"At least you're financially stable now." Iris said. "See! We're both financially stable! You just made 30 grand in a day, I mean I just help you by copying and pasting their e-mails and print it for you. But you-" she said standing up. "You're the brains and bronze of the company. You deserve 100% of the salary plus your family needs it, I kind of don't need it. I mean I did send my salary back to your bank account-"
I looked at her shocked, "You didn't." I said in denial.
"I did. Did you ever think that I wouldn't know about Sherrie?."
I froze in my spot, "I don't want to talk about it, please." I said politely as I sat laid down on the bed.
"I'm sorry, Poppy." Iris said. "I'll see you tomorrow." She said and hugged me. "You'll get through this, I promise."
She closed the light and closed the door when she got out. I closed my eyes until I fell asleep, I woke up to the annoying song from IceJJfish "On the floor". I turned my alarm off and changed into my work out clothes that consisted of black dri-fit fleece shorts, black flex spacer sports bra under Noah's old white shirt that's two sizes bigger than mine and a pair of black running shoes.
After I use this, I'm going to throw this out.
I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth after that, I washed my face. When I was done, I went out and got my training bag and empty bottle under my bed.
I tied my hair tight and walked out of my room and locked the door. "Good morning, Poppy." Jack greeted.
"Hi, Jack. It's so early in the morning, why are you up?" I said as I looked at my digital watch that said that it was 5:30 am.
"I woke up early and couldn't go back to bed." He said.
"You should get some rest then." I said as I walked towards the stairs and jogged down the stairs until I reached the lobby.
"Morning, Poppy." Julie the Administrator of the dorm greeted.
"Good morning, Julie!" I greeted as I ran out of the door and ran as fast as I could to the gym.
