Cassian hits the wall hits the floor as the ship collides with the ground; I desperately try to reach his limp body but I'm thrown back. All I can feel is pain but I force in feeling to my legs and rise to my feet.
The ship is falling apart around me but I can just about make out the flap off a rebellion jacket underneath a large piece of metal. Despite the freighters precarious position, I run to the scrap of fabric and find Cassian lying there.

He's unconscious but breathing, I curse at a large gash on the side of his head and survey the metal covering him. It's big.

Gathering all my strength, I glaringly above it off, his body groaning with the weight of it. It slides away and I take up Cassian's limp form in my arms, gingerly running my hand over his head injury.

In no time at all empire's troops will arrive and we'll be overrun. I glance round desperately for inspiration and come up with nothing. I need an idea to evade their troops. My mind works in overdrive to come up with solutions that won't get us killed.

Number one: face the troopers. It's To risky with Cassian unconscious and ridiculously  stupid anyway.

Number two: drag Cassian to safety. The first place I would go would be our camp but I'd be too exposes carrying him.

Number three: get captured, escape later.

I can't see any other options until a sleek white armour flashes in my peripheral vision. Disguise.

I reach over to it and shove the remaining rubble off the bodywork. The storm troopers armour lays undamaged so I search for the other one. It's not here, I don't have time.

I make a decision. I knew if it came too it I'd save Cassian instead of my self and the actions are no harder than the thoughts. Carefully, I  strap his limp form into the uniform hoping to God he doesn't make a show when he wakes up.

I don't have the time or the means to write a note or anything telling where I am. For a start I don't know what will happen next and I don't know when ill see him. I just have to pray Hell know how to play the disguise when he becomes conscious.

Carefully arranging rubble so that he's concealed, I wipe away the water brimming in my eyes. I'm alone again. For now.

Rising a knife to my cheek, I slash across it, gritting my teeth through the pain and hiding th knife with Cassian's armoured form. That way it will look like I overpowered him and they won't remove the helmet for identification.

I press my Palm to the flowing blood and survey the wreckage, there are no gas clouds or fires as I would have expected but rather a lot of crumpled metal sheets and plates along with crushed pipes and destroyed bodywork.

A deafening creak bursts in my ears and I whip around to the direction of the noise. I'm in th main body of the freighter but clearly it's on its side- that's how I was thrown against the wall.

I can't work out what the noise was before the wall above me- as ruined as it is its still making some protection- explodes.

I throw myself to the floor and shield my head form the fire, desperate for protection. The blast was clearly a controlled explosion because the only thing that touches me is shrapnel- no flames.

The metal hisses as it rains down on me in tiny paces, the edge of the hole that was made is huge. Bright sunlight floods into the ship, illuminating Cassian's crude hiding place. The small alcove I made for him is holding though and no one would be able to obviously see him through the metal.

I look straight up again when I hear another crash and see storm troopers lowering themselves through the gap.
Cursing, I raise my blaster and fire at them, picking most of the approaching one's easily. Like shooting ducks in a barrel.

I dive behind a rough square of metal and use it as a barricade as I shoot up through the hole, causing several troopers to fall through where we've hit them.

Drawing a seconded gun, I check my energy packs. I have plenty enough bolts left to put up a fight.
I rise up to rest on my feet and fire up at the three or so troopers trying to enter the ship. That's when I notice the pipe.

The steady drip drip drip of gas.

This whole place is ready to blow.

I swear louder than I ever have before and discard any hope of fighting the troopers off. Instead, I dive towards Cassian's hiding place- he is my priority.

A larger explosion rocks the ship. I'm thrown onto my side. Wincing at the impact I roll and come up on my hands and knees.
Staggering to my feet and making my way forward I reach him but I'm thrown onto my back by another blast.

The whole other side of the ship has been blown in and storm troopers swarm in, guns pointed at me.
I nearly sob, I need to save Cassian
I shoot desperately into the huge crowd of storm troopers. The empire should really have learned to just shoot me. I would never tell them anything in interrogation- I'm more trouble than I'm worth.

The thought doesn't bring me any relief and I back up slowly towards the still unconscious Cassian, hoping to the force that he's not hurt underneath his hiding place.

Scowling, I continue to fire into the mass of troopers but with my attention drawn away from the ones lowering themselves into the ship, I don't pick up on the troopers behind me.

I'm not close enough to Cassian that they walk over him but they narrowly miss the sheet of metal of him and press a gun to my head.

I shoot behind me carelessly, knowing they won't kill me. Ducking I dodge the first stun bullets to cross the place I was standing but until knife grazes my neck. Officer Conan- the Shit head- stands behind me, one hand disgustingly on my waist, one steadying a knife on my neck.

I scowl and try too twist my hand to shoot him but two storm troopers grab my arms. My eyes are desperately drawn to the leaking pipe. I have an idea. The storm troopers holding me drag me towards th hole in the ship.

I glance back to see groups beginning to deviate through the different corridors to search the ship. Another trooper marches forward and forces my wrist into his hand. He pulls my first blaster roughly out of my hand.
It's now or never.
My finger twists just enough for me to pull the trigger. The bolt collides with the gas pipe and I hear an large hiss. Panicked storm troopers dart am away from it and in the process they kick of the sheet of metal hiding Cassian.

One grabs him and I barely suppress my sigh of relief as we're dragged out the ship.
Exhaustion catches up with me and I stop struggling in the troopers grip.

I'm dragged onto the ship. The freighter explodes. The world goes dark
