Okay so there is an update coming soon (probably tomorrow) but first I would like to talk about the Dr who episode last night.
Recently- following the force awakens release- I've noticed so many more diverse characters and shows are paying more attention to different ethnic groups and including character representations.
The new Dr who companion- a show that previously has had with ice characters- is black.
Bill Potts is a black, gay woman and I think that's BRILLIANT. FINALLY SHOWS AS POPULAR AS DR WHO ARE PAYING ATTENTION TO THESE THINGS.
If I'm honest, I believe star wars is setting the standard for cliche destroying plots and characters. I mean Diego Luna, John Boyega and strong female leads in a franchise as big as this are really paving the way for a perception of people from other cultures.
