Chapter 9: Getting Close.

Today was day 1 of getting close to Gage and protecting my best friend. I have seen the council spying on me plenty of times. Very stalkerish if you ask me like I have no clue why can't they just move on and get someone else to join. I don't understand why they want me so much to be in that stupid council. This whole thing has been going for to long and they still haven't given up.

I usually spend my days at Starbucks and reading a book as cliché and nerdish as that sounds I do it. I looked up from the book I was reading and saw a child with her parents. It had me thinking that I never really knew my parents they gave me away for adoption for some reason. I was stuck with this ugly and mean women. Once I turned into a vampire she was the first person I fed on. I really despised her she would physically abused me it was terrible. I never really tried to look for my parents I just thought if they gave me away then they didn't want anything of me.

As I spaced out I heard someone clapping their hands and waving their hand at me.

"Hello earth to Mira!" A guy voice said.

I started to react and saw that it was the one and only Gage. I was meaning to look for him to start keeping a eye on him.

"Oh Gage hey sorry kind of zoned out" I said giving a smile.

"I have that affect on girls they see me and they get stunned from my gorgeous face" he said with his famous smirk.

"Oh please Gage the effect you have on girls is the effect to make them throw up" I said.

"Sure sweetheart whatever floats your boat we both know you have a thing for me" he said pulling the chair ready to sit down.

"Water floats my boat Gage water and a thing for you? Not in a million years sweetie" I said giving a yeah-right face.

I saw a person walk in and I noticed that it was one of the council. Well damn.

"Excuse me Gage I need to use the bathroom" I said with a fake a smile.

I got up and I already felt the anger inside and my red eyes wanting to show.

I grabbed the guys shirt and pulled him with me into the girls bathroom. Opened the door and slammed him against

"Okay can you leave me the fuck alone and all my friends also!" I said screaming into his face.

He didn't look scared but he looked afraid and I knew I could see it in his eyes. I literally don't know why if he is in the council he can kick my ass easily.

"You really don't know why we are wanting you in the council so bad do you?" he said in a confusion.

"Not really there is far more vampires you can choose but why are you wanting me so bad?!"

"I guess you are in for a big secret" as he said that he grabbed my hand pushing me off him.

In a blink of an eye he had left and I was alone in the bathroom, even though it was a quick chat I did get a few things from it.

Why do they want me so bad in their council clique that's the question.
