Bad Boy Falls For Vampire

Chapter 20: Fire

As expected Gage threw a bunch of questions and I of course gave him answers. They were the basic ones that any human would ask a vampire. But then he asked me the one question no one has ever asked me and it was the one I had trouble answering.

"Are you happy being like this?" He asked.

Not even my own parents, biological or not, my friends from the past, my own self have I asked if I was happy. But that's when I figured my answer.

"As long as I've lived on this earth and experienced so many different eras and met so many different unique people, I would say I loved experiencing it. But it gets to the point where you feel like you've had enough, that's why I've told myself if I ever had to risk my life for the people I care about I would do it in a heartbeat. I've lived and it's time for others to keep living and love life as humanly as possible" I said with a sincere smile. "And that's why getting you guys out of here."

When finally the doors open and 3 guards game to open our cell and each one grabbed one of us. Of course the strongest of the three got a hold of me, which does not surprise me.
We walked this long hall way the walls were made of stone with torches and each torch had a painting of past important councils. The hall lead straight to two huge double doors. The guards opened the doors and the first thing I saw was the mastermind of the council Xavier Taurus.

"Mira who is that?" Bella asked me.

"Keep quiet, and let me do the talking" I said not taking my eyes off him.

Xavier stood up once we are lined up in front of his "throne".

"Well well well, look who we have here the beautiful Mirabelle and her friends. I was looking forward to this day you know" he said with a smile an evil smile.

"Let's cut the bullshit why don't we. What do you want?" I said with my eyes glowing red.

"Now Mirabelle that's not how you treat the headmaster of the Vampire Council. You know I've always wanted to see you in chains and weak. It brings back memories when I killed your biological parents" he said like it was nothing.

He killed my parents. It was him all along so much for the freaking democracy. No wonder he killed them off so he could take charge. Oh but I didn't let my feelings show because of his comment.

"You let go of my friends and I'll stay can we make a deal?" I said bluntly.

"Mira we aren't leaving you!" Bella and Gage said at the same time.

"You remember what I said back in the cell it's time I take my word for it" I said looking at them.

"That's truly beautiful, but I'm afraid that isn't going to happen. Mirabelle you told two humans about the supernatural world they will also get a punishment" he said in a royalty voice he tried to fabricate clearly.

My friends were terrified, but I wasn't because I saw torches of fire everywhere. I had the power of elements and there isn't any vervain around because why would the council put vervain where they stay.

"You know Xavier you have a nice place here. I love the old fashioned torches instead of using electricity like normal people would use." I said with a smirk. He knew that smirk, he knew something was going to happen but he wasn't sure what.

I saw the torches and closed my eyes. I pictured them in fireballs ready to attack the guards holding my friends and to attack Xavier. My exact orders happened. The guards were burning and let go of Bella and Gage. I escaped the hold I was in and grabbed both Bella and Gage and ran out the door as fast as possible and finally we found a back exit leading in the woods.
