Bad Boy Falls For Vampire

Chapter 17: Getting to know the REAL Gage.

It was a pretty chilly day but perfect for a simple walk, I've gotten plenty of alone time to find myself and find things about myself that I've never known. With all that said I've completely ignored the two people I have to protect. I'm not a selfish person I promise!

At the perfect time as I was thinking of Gage (ironically he had to come to mind) I saw him sitting on his motorcycle alone. Maybe I'm not the only one trying to be alone. I decided to walk towards him.

"Hey you loner boner what brings you the park?" I could tell I scared him I guess he was really deep into his thoughts.

"Loner boner? I swear you say the weirdest things" he said shaking his head.
"But yes THE Gage cole is alone without a girl in the park"

"Hey no one is here to judge, I mean I understand that girls are finally realizing you aren't as good looking as they thought" I said with a smirk.

"HA HA HA very funny Mira"

He seemed awful odd not the Gage I know that's for sure. He isn't back talking to smartass remarks or anything. That's when you know something is wrong with him.

"How about we take a walk" I told him but with simply just that he had smile upon his face.

As we were walking in silent I looked at Gage and he was just looking at his shoes. I understand his parents are divorcing but that can't be all. But that's when Gage broke the silence.

"Mira have you ever felt as you have to put up this fake image or disguise everyday?" He said staring to walk slower then before.

Oh gosh does he know? I swear I've kept things pretty secretive for any suspicions. Oh gosh was there something in my teeth that it made it look like blood. Think Mira okay you can say you were drinking kool-aide I mean hey who doesn't love kool-aide!

"What do you mean Gage?" I said clearing my throat.

"Everybody at school thinks I'm this player, heartbreaker, badass, bad influence, etc. but I'm not people just don't understand. I'm a "heartbreaker" because I've been broken before. I lack in all my subjects because when teachers see I'm in their class they already have low expectations of me" Gage was expressing feelings I would have never thought he would.

I understand what he is feeling, I understand about putting a fake image everyday for people not to judge you, I understand that a heartbreaker was once the heartbroken. Gage and I had a lot of things a like which made me feel if I ever told him I was a vampire he wouldn't be afraid.

"Gage I understand you completely but sometimes you shouldn't be afraid to put yourself out there show those people wrong!" As Gage smiles and shook his head yes agreeing to what I was saying. His face turned from gloomy to the face I'm use to seeing.

"Gage I'm starting to feel like your psychologist I'm going to have to start telling you to pay me for each session we have"

"Alright I know a better way to pay you" he said with a wink.

"I expect cash" I said putting my hand out.

After Gage left and I was heading home I felt someone stalking me gosh how I hate that feeling. I turned around to find Sebastian right behind me.

"Mira the vampire with element powers what a creature I'm sure the rebels and council will love to hear this" he said with a evil smile.

"You are literally starting to be a pain in my ass and how in the hell did you even know?"

"There was a little bird you know gossip but it seems to be true that's great. Oh and that sweet conversation with your new boyfriend was heart touching" Gage said putting his hand over his heart.

"He's not my boyfriend oh but if you touch him oh gosh if you touch him or Belle or even if the council or the rebels touch them I swear I'll come after you and everyone else!" With the the wind was starting to pick up and there was leaves blowing everywhere. I could see that's Seb was afraid and with that he left.
