Chapter 13- Change of plans
Kyle turned around and gave me a look.
"Well are you coming or not? We just got a call from the SUD office." I follow him through the door and walk into every technology nerds dream. So basically, my dream. The secret office hidden in here is just awesome. Different kind of computers and hard drives sit on a long desk in the middle of the room. On the second floor of the office I see all kinds of equipment shielded behind a thick glass door. The windows look like the other windows in this whole building, only I know that nobody can see in through the glass, we can only see out through the glass. I guess the windows are bulletproof or something like that since all our earlier offices around the world has this kind of glass.
"Oh my. This is unbelievable." I mutter as I take in the enormous room with two floors. They must've bought a part of the apartment above and made it into this secret room for us.
"Agent Stone and Agent Williams, are you there?" The Boss spoke through a small computer.
"Wait a second dad. I'm just gonna put you up on the big screen." Kyle pushes the buttons that control the connection between the tiny computer and the huge screen that's situated on the wall and 'poof' the Boss appears on the screen.
"Kyle, don't call me 'dad' when you're in service. Right now I'm strictly your boss who won't hesitate to kick your butt if you don't behave." I giggle at Kyle who looks a bit ashamed.
"Anyways, the reason I called is because there will be a slight change of plans. The Moore's case is turning more serious every single day and I need you two in the field as soon as possible. So on Monday morning, you go to your new work and make friends. Agent Williams, you should be at the UBEC eight o' clock. You leave at five thirty. When you get there you'll get all the information you need from a man named Mr. Holmes. Agent Stone, you're going to meet Mrs Johnson nine o' clock at the head entrance of the American Apparel office. You'll get your info there. Mr Holmes and Mrs Johnson are not former agents or active agents, so with them you're also Kyle Brown and Alexis Edwards. Be nice and chatty, but don't come off as annoying. You won't carry weapons but we do have special clocks and similar objects that have hidden cameras and weapons hidden in them. All those objects are on the second floor, in the huge box with different drawers. Feel free to roam and pick whatever you want. You two have contact each other frequently through the workdays and check up. Your phones lie in the first drawer on the right. The dress codes will be sent to you now and any minute you will get a description of the clothes in your wardrobe. Where to wear them, when to wear them and the different dress codes for social events. I want you to contact me Monday evening, around ten. Good luck agents."
The screen went black and I just stood and stared at it. I was not ready for this.
"Oh shit."
