Derek knew you could protect yourself but it didn't stop him from worrying. You were supernatural as well, you knew how it felt to be in constant fear of someone exposing what you really were. Unlike Derek, your affliction was a little harder to explain. Being a angel wasn't as powerful as it sounded and put a huge target on your back. Literally. Your wings were one of the most valuable things on the planet and shon a bright golden glow when you aloud them to be seen.

" Derek I'll be fine. If it makes you feel better I'll text you updates every 20 mins and if I miss one you can come back. Okay?" You said in a soothing tone.

"Alright, but even if your a minute late I'm coming right home" he said as he wrapped his hands around me and placed his head in the crook of my neck.

"I know" I said in the same tone as before and continued to hug him until he had to leave...

So I was thinking of doing these little short ones, what do u guys think?
