The sound of Kristen's heartbeat was heard through the heart rate monitor.
Tobias's heart shrunk deep."Oh,Kristen..."He slowly stretched out and held her hand.He sat down,beside her.
There were a wire connecting to her arm."Tobias!"Elsa exclaimed at the sight of Kristen and Tobias."We came soon as you called."Jack said.
"What happened to her?"Elsa gazed at Kristen,feeling worried."She fainted so I called the ambulance. No news of what happened yet."Tobias informed them.
Jack started calling Kristen's parents,Alyssa and Dylan,informing them of their daughter's whereabouts.Alyssa came first,with a office wear.She was talking to a earpiece."Yep,I'll call her back.Talk to you later,"
She was a busy businesswoman.Jack slowly took a deep breath."Mrs Alyssa Hawkins,—"
"Call me,Ainsley Jones."She interrupted with a stern voice."I remarried from that Dylan. I don't want to see him again."
"Mrs Ainsley Jones,your former daughter,Kristen Hawkins is in the hospital unit. No news has been heard yet from the Doctor.She's currently resting on her bed."
"Krist–en? I'm worried for her.All my life,I have been busy and that guy(she wants to stop mentioning Dylan's name)didn't take care of her properly."
She sat down beside Elsa,who was typing furiously from her phone.Just then,Dylan hurried in with a office wear and a office bag."I'm so sorry! I just finished a meeting in my company. Patrick asks too many questions."He groaned in frustration.
He placed his bag on the table."Now how's my Kristen?"
"Mr Dylan Hawkins. Kristen is currently in a coma."Jack informed him.Dylan sneered at him."You! Stay away from Kristen.You are dangerous!
"I'm not.You are! Dylan,you treated Kristen like trash. Do you think that she will survive? Will she fight through it? Who do you think you are? A father who ignores their child?"
Tobias eavesdropped their conversation,pretending to do something else on the table.
Elsa came and interrupted them."Stop your argument right now! Stop acting like immature children,can we be mature adults and talk about this outside? Let's give Kristen some rest."
The guys nodded their heads and headed out the unit and sat down in silence.The girls looked at each other."So Ainsley,I see that you have remarried,who's the lucky guy?"
"Lawerence Jones. He's a businessman,always busy.He's my former colleague before we married."
The girls heard a loud crash like a glass chandelier was dropped on the ground.The glass shattered into pieces outside the ward.
The girls rushed outside to find out what caused the crash,while Tobias stayed behind to take care of Kristen.
The doctor came in with a brown clipboard."Hi,I'm Doctor Lily.I will be in charge of patient Kristen.Is there any family members of her?"She clipped her pen.
