15. Not the Alex I know

Maggie's pov

I woke up by the sound of Kara's voice.

"Hey, Maggie. How are you doing?" she asked.

"Everything hurts. What happened to me?"

"Well, you got shot by someone. J'onn took care of your wound, the most important thing now is that you rest."

"Who shot me?" I asked her.

"Don't be mad, but it was Alex." Kara answered.

"She what!?"

Alex shot me, I couldn't believe that she actually injured me.

"I could propably say that loving her is a death sentence, right? I joked.

"I'll speak to her about this accident." Kara promised.

"I want to go with you." I said.

"We'll go together when you feel better."

A week later

Alex' pov

It was early in the morning, and Charlotte went to the bakery to get us some bread. I heard a knock so I opened the door.

"Hello, Alex." Maggie and Kara said.

"Maggie and Kara, what are you doing here?"

"I came here to ask your explanation for shooting me." Maggie said.

"And I came to ask what's wrong with you." Kara said afterwards.

"Okay, I felt bad about ditching Charlotte at the restaurant. I wasn't focused on my work, when I should've been." was my answer to Maggie's question.

"Oh, so you felt sorry about ditching Charlotte? Well, I felt sorry about getting shot! What's even worse is that you didn't even come to visit me while I was in the recovery room! All you care about is Charlotte!" Maggie angrily said.

"I can't believe you, Alex! I thought that you wanted to help Maggie, but it turned out that you shot her. I had to hear it from J'onn." Kara yelled.

"Enough! You know how hard it was for me to pick up my life again? My life is back to normal, and it is because of Charlotte." I said.

"What happened to you, Alex? You are not the person I fell in love with. You turned into a real bitch, you know that?" Maggie sobbed.

"This is me! Now, get out of my apartment! You too, Kara!" I screamed.

"Fine, have a nice life!" Kara answered.

I shut the door, and ended up crying on the floor.
