Chapter Eight:
Kyle's P.O.V
When we reached the party at Olivia's, Farah got out of my car slowly. Coincidental, we matched. But she could look prettier than me even with messed-up bed hair. Her hips swayed while she walked up to front door. The whole house was filled with teenagers, and girls with short-short dresses that made me want to drool. I spotted Kristin, who looked sorta descent in her case. Her dress was actually almost to her knees, and I bet you five bucks she didn't have anything on under it.
I smirked at her sight, and walked to her side. Farah looked away, and walkd farther into the crowd, disappearing.
"Hey, Kyle." Kristin breathed at my throat, while passing me a beer into my hands. I nodded, and took a swig. Kristin pulled me toward her, and started dancing way up on me. I smirked again, and started to enjoy my night.
**
"Another! Pass him another!" Chanted the crowd that was watching me and my friends chug down shots. I haven't seen Farah all night, and I felt sorta sick. I threw up my hands, yelling in a slur voice, "I surrender! I'm...gonna find...Fare!" I saw Kristin have a nasty look on her face. I rolled my eyes, and she started laughing. She fell off the counter, and I waved her off. I walked out of the kitchen, and started trying to find my way to the living room. They had a slow song playing, and a lot of couples were making out. Then I saw a scene I really didn't wan to see. Farah was kissing a guy who she just met. Marcus.
I think it was anger that went through me right then. I can't believe what I see. Farah just met the kid, and now she's kissing him. Whoa, this is bad if i'm the one who rubbed off on her. Jealousy came then when I saw Marcus's hand grabbed her ass. I'm her best friend, and I'm a guy, and I do not think what he just did was a good thing. Heck no.
Jealousy was burning in me besides the beer. Even though i'm dating the hottest girl in school, but I don't believe Kristin is the hottest. Yeah, she is hot, but I know at least one fact. Farah is the most beautiful girl at our school. Scratch that. The most beautiful girl on this planet. With, or without make-up too.
And that's when I whispered to my buddy, Riley, my plan. Then it began.
**
I headed across the crowd toward Farah, and grabbed her by the waist. She kicked and screamed, but like I care.
"No kissing!" I muttered in her ear. She gasped, and hit me in the stomach with her foot. I walked down the hall, and opened the door to a closet, shutting it behind. Whoa, dark room with my best friend. Sorta weird, but I liked it.
"What the heck?" Farah screamed, once I placed her down. I was smirking, but if Farah saw me right then, she would've been adding that unto her list of reasons to kill me at the moment.
"Why did you just ruin my perfectly good night, Kyle?" She yelled, and it started to ring in my head. I massaged my forehead, and looked down.
"Well-" I started, but she cut me off. Geez, it was just a prank for crying out loud! Marcus is still out there. But I bet ten dollars he won't miss her.
"You're impossible. You ruin everything! What did I ever do to you? I was having fun." There she goes again with he yelling. I sighed, and rested my back unto what seemed like the wall. She shoved me at that moment, and then a flash of the hallway blinded me by her escaping.
"Farah!"I called after her, butt she didn't seem to hear me over the song that was playing. She once again got lost in the crowd, as I tried to search for her. Kristin spotted me, but I waved her off. I have to apologize.
**
When I didn't find her, I figured she got a ride. But at the same time I was worried who did she get a ride with? I texted her once I got home, but she must really be mad since I pissed her off. I got up, and crawled out of my window secretly. It was such a good thing that we live by each other. I don't really ever feel like I would want to get up at three in the morning and drive to her house if she ever wanted me too. I mean, I love her and all, but sometimes I need my sleep!
"FARAH WHALE! ANSWER YOUR PHONE!" I yelled up to her window.
It took her a good five minutes, but she eventually opened her window.
"What do you want?" she snapped at me. Harsh, much?
I cupped my hands like a megaphone at my face. "I'm Sorry!" I yelled.
She hesitated for a second, and bit her bottom lip. "Whatever." She finally said, slamming the window closed. I sighed, and walked back to my house.
**
I waited, and waited. I became agitated, and I've already called like fifteen times for crying out loud! I called one last time. Then I would stop.
"I think.. Do you hate me now? I'm pissed at myself for doing that. Maybe I should've been with Kristin and then that wouldn't happen. Just..call me....I'll wait until you want to talk to me. Love you, Fare."
Hopefully that'll work.
