You awoke to the sun flooding through the window and hitting you square in the face. You rolled over and accidentally rolled into something, slowly opening your eyes, you saw L fast asleep beside you.
'That's right... he slept here' you thought to yourself.
He looked so peaceful as he slept, his messy hair flopped over his face and his whole body buried under the blankets. You smiled at the sight and brushed the his hair out of his face, making him start to wake up. He stirred for a bit then opened his eyes.
"What am I- oh yeah..." he said remembering why he was lying in your bed.
And side note: he had an amazing morning voice.
He smiled at you and brushed the hair from your eyes.
"Good morning" he said.
"Good morning sunshine" you replied.
"Thanks for letting me stay..."
"You can stay whenever, I don't mind"
"So... can I stay tonight too?"
"Go ahead" you said.
He smiled and bought you into his arms, hugging you gently.
"Thanks, I think I sleep better with someone around" he said.
"Well it's always nice to have someone close to you"
As soon as you finished your sentence, your phone went off. You rolled over and picked it up, seeing a FaceTime request from the contact 'Mells'. That would be Mello calling.
You sat up, L sitting up beside you and answered the call.
"Hey Mells" you said.
"YOU'RE FAMOUS!" Near yelled from the back of the room.
"What he said!" Mello added "oh and hi L"
"Hi guys" L said, waving to the screen.
"76 MILLION VIEWS! HOLY SHIT!" You heard Matt yell from the computer in the room.
"On what?" L asked.
"The video... THE MUSIC VIDEO! L HOLD THIS!" You said passing your phone to L who almost dropped it.
You crawled over the bed and grabbed your laptop, opening YouTube and clicking on trending.

"HOLY FUCK!" You yelled.
"Holy crap! Congrats (y/n)!" L said bringing you into a hug.
You smiled uncontrollably at the situation and felt like screaming. You were interrupted by a knock on the door, probably the Task Force.
"We gotta go, I'll talk to you later ok guys?" You said to the boys.
"Alright! Miss you both so much! Bye!"
And with that Mello hung up. You jumped out of bed and skipped happily down the hall. You opened the door, only to be engulfed in a hug by Matsuda.
"I SAW THE VIDEO! YOU DID SO GOOD. CONGRATS!" Matsuda exclaimed.
"Thanks Matsuda!" You said, hugging back.
You saw L glare at matsuda out of the corner of your eye, making you wonder what was up. Once the hug fest was over and everyone was inside, you sat down next to L and calmed your excitement, ready to get to work.
"I'm afraid the case isn't going any better" L said, handing out papers.
"Those FBI agents are dead?" Mr. Yagami asked.
"Yeah, all killed yesterday. So can someone get any security footage of anywhere the agents died, and someone please file reports on the deaths" L explained.
"I'll get the reports done, but can someone examine Raye Penbers death? It's kind of odd how he died last, and he was out at the time" you added.
It was going to be a long day.
