Chapter one
I wake up. At last. I slowly open my eyes. For hours I have been sleeping after I had awoken the last time. That's when I had found myself hurt and laying on a beach. I have no idea how I got there, what day it is or even stranger, who I am. I am laying on a cosy bed in an unfamiliar house. The room isn't that big, but yet large enough. The walls seems like they are made of a soft caramel sauce. The bed, which I am on, is located against the wall with a small window at the left side. I clearly smell all kind of scents running through each other, but I can't come up with the names. I hear a lot of noises, apparently coming from the other side of the window. I remember how badly wounded I am and lay my gaze down to check them. I notice that they are nicely bandaged. Also, I see a packet of clothes on the edge of the bed. I am still wrapped in my old ones. Next to me, on a small table, there stands a glass of water in front of a photo frame. I see a younger boy with blonde hair on it, smiling while having his arm around a pretty girl. He is cute. The girl on the picture has brown hair and deep, but friendly brown eyes. I try to get up, but the pain I had felt before returns like fire spreading out. Hurt. I haven't recovered from my bad wounds yet. I know that so far. Then, I can hear someone coming. Closer, near the room. I have the urge to go onto the defensive. Someone knocks on the door and comes in. It is the guy from the photo, only a bit older. He wears a simple white T-shirt above his muscled body. There is a long, red scarf around his neck. He wears baggy jeans, together with black boots. On his blonde hair, he has goggles. His one hand with a black fingerless glove is still holding the door handle. His other hand is resting against the door frame. His soft blue eyes gaze happily at me.
"You're finally awake!" He exclaims with a big smile, which uncovers his white teeth. I am overwhelmed by him. I simply stare at him. Perhaps, I am in shock. He looks a lot cuter in real life than he does on the picture.
'Who is he?' goes through my mind. I have no idea. When he sees me puzzled, he starts to chuckle.
"I presume that I should first introduce myself. My name is Shakey." He smiles, points at himself and adds a wink.
"Shakey..." I mumble, repeating his name, "Where am I?"
"In my house. What's your name then?" He asks. He comes closer and sits on the edge of the bed. I am thinking, but I still can't remember it, just like I couldn't before. It seems too weird to me. Why can't I recall anything? I feel empty in my mind. Everything is blank.
"I would tell you, if I knew it myself." I reply too calm. I look down at my hands. There isn't much to tell than the truth.
"What do you mean?" He starts to get confused. He rises his eyebrow.
"I'm telling you that I don't remember who I am."
"Whoa, I have no clue what happened, but that must have been quite a hit."
I nod and say: "I should go. Thank you for helping me." I don't want to bother him anymore. I get out of the bed and as I take the first step, I fall down groaning on my knees. I embrace the painful spot. Shakey speeds towards me and helps me up.
"You still need some rest. You aren't at full strength yet."
"Thank you."
"By the way, try on those new clothes," He points to them, "It might hurt a bit, but it's better to use your body before it becomes stiff. Besides, they'll be nicer than the ones you're wearing now."
I look down at my ripped clothes and start to blush. At least I think that's what I did. Before I can do what he told me to, my stomach makes a funny sound. I even blush more after hearing the sound. I am embarrassed. I hadn't noticed how hungry I actually am. Shakey laughs amused.
