You don't think you made a mistake trusting Quinn when he offered to take you into his house. Actually, the main floor, where you were now, was a coffee shop, evident by the tables and chairs, glass case for baked goods, and espresso machine. It was quite nice inside, rustic in style with its polished wood finish and dark brown walls.

Currently you were sitting in one of the bigger chairs by the window, wrapped in a wool blanket with a mug of hot chocolate in your hands. Elena was still skeptical of your non-existent story and presence, but despite that she'd been the one who made the hot chocolate for you. Now she and Quinn bickered as you warmed up and observed them. They stood a few paces away from you, closer to the bar.

"No. We should be calling the police," Elena reiterated for about the fifth time. Now that you were inside and the lights were on, you were better able to distinguish what the pair looked like. Elena was on the shorter side, with a slim build and more attitude than was probably good for her. She looked like she was dressed for bed, in a plain black tank-top and loose pants with card suit symbols painted over them. Her hair was shoulder length with straight bangs across her forehead, and though it was mostly platinum blond the tips were dyed red.

"Does she look like a human? No, she's a monster, which means she will have a better chance talking to Asgore in the morning." Quinn argued back. He was on the taller side compared to you and Elena, with platinum blond hair that was shaved close to his head around the sides and back and left long but styled on the top. His eyes were blue, like Elena's, which made you assume they were siblings. Some would probably say he was good looking, with what you would call a boy-next-store confidence (though you weren't exactly sure where the comparison came from.) He was dressed casually in jeans and a t-shirt, despite it being nearly 2am. "Besides, if we went to the police they would probably just go to Asgore anyway."

"Quinn," Elena said in a warning tone, narrowing her eyes at him while crossing her arms.

"Elena." Quinn replied, mimicking her.

Elena leaned closer to him, lowering her voice to a urgent whisper. Despite this, you could still hear them clearly from across the room. "We don't even know where she comes from! What if she's lying? She could be dangerous."

"This coming from the girl who works for Mettaton. You know he was a boss monster once, right?" Quinn huffed, not bothering to lower his voice at all. "Besides, does she look dangerous to you?"

Elena glanced over at you, and you suddenly became very interested with the steaming cup of hot chocolate. When she sighed, you looked back up. "I guess not." She sighed again, then positioned herself with her hands on her hips. "So what are you proposing we do with her until Asgore comes around?"

"We pull out the futon and let her sleep."

"And if she wants to shiv us in our sleep?"

"Then lock the door to your room. Look, she alone, confused, and scared. As far as she knows she doesn't have any family or anyone to rely on. I'm not going to turn her out, not until I do what I can to help her or she gets back in her feet." There was something in his tone that spoke from experience. You appreciated how far he was willing to go for you, a complete stranger, and you were grateful you'd ended up where you had.

"Alright, I get it. Just... I don't know, keep an eye on her?"

"Yes ma'am."

"And maybe give her a name? We can't keep calling her 'her' or 'hey you!'. In the meantime, I'll grab some clothes she can sleep in." And with that, Elena took her leave and headed through a backdoor that must lead upstairs. When she was gone, Quinn came over to you and sat down in the chair across from you.
