"It's fine." He pulls his paw off and there's some blood on it. "I seem to get it a lot."
The sun rises and were a ways away from the Red Oak. We travel slowly, ears perked, noses checking the air, eyes looking for them in the sky. I stop and Kanatu walks another stride before turning his head back and stopping. The next moment takes an eternity. I see Burta launch him self towards Kanatu, his teeth bared and aiming for his neck. I run towards him. Everything still in slow motion. I get between them and time returns to normal. The last thing I remember is Burtas' eyes light up in surprise. And someone yell "No!"
I see Burta launch at me. I try to move but my body is paralyzed. Anita, however, charges in front of me. "No!" He fastens his teeth around her neck and she goes limp. He snarls "Nice doing business with the blood again." I start to go after him and he flies up. I try to follow put his hind leg pushes me back. A fall a bit and I see Anita drop.
