I crawl out from under Burta and he snaps and snarls, his shoulder fur in flames. Kanuta howls and I join him. Soon all the ones who supported skin-changer were howling at the rising sun. The changers back at the Red Oak must've heard. The whole tree was coming through, under, above, in, out of the forest ready for battle. I see Nishuta step out of her den. Ash is snowing from the black clouds and parts of the forest hold small fires, as if holding them for the coming winter. I step towards her and face the leader. So does Kanuta, Mother Nitu, Hopsfly, everyone. "Nishuta. The 49th pack is a mistake." I say. "You are a coward," Kanuta sighs and says again. "You are a coward, sister." A few hushed gasps come but the changers' supporters ignore it. "You have driven out the people who could've built you up." Mother put in. Creepily at the same time, as a group, union, pack we say, "And we are the people who can tear you down."
This is a pausing point. I will continue soon!! :D
The continued lol
Nishuta places a brown paw forward and I match her move. "You should've stayed in your little scrap of land, choose what you are! Thinking you can overthrow us? We are the 49th pack!" She says and howls follow after. Mother takes this one and fires this back at her, "The 49th pack is a mistake. We choose who we are, we choose to be the ones to end this horrid banishment of skin-changers!" Its our turn to cheer now. "Bring it on." "Be careful what you wish for." I say and lunge at her. I grab her front paw and shake my head, is causes her to fall on her side, I shift into a cat and more efficiently succeed in marking up her stomach. She snaps at me and a launch myself back. She gets to her paws, only slipping once and races to me. I step to the side but her head turns and Nishuta grabs my small silver back. A squirm and trying to free myself from her grip. She shakes me and I feel her teeth slipping. It hurt worse than when Burta had dropped me into the forest, but it was my only chance, so I went limp and tried to focus on everything but this. She shook harder and I flew...literally. I changed into a eagle. I had thought about a dove but what can they do in war? I out-stretch my talons and I grab her spine area. I start flapping hard and I start to lift her a bit. She snaps at me but I continue and I chuck her in the direction of the burning area. She scrambles, small patches of her brown blackening as they burnt a bit. She charges as I shift back into a wolf-like Narshlog. Nishuta charges at me again, I get pushed into a nearby rosebush. Its hurts more than you would think. I try to pull myself out but the thorns pull back on my fur. I become desperate and a start gnawing on the pointy stems. She charges at me and I try to move out from the bush and it works a bit and she launched herself into the empty spinney bush. I look around to see everyone locked in battle. I charge to Nitu to help fight another yellowish-brown Narshlog. I join in and attack from behind. Once the moon is suspended in its highest point of the sky, the battle was over. The skin-changers had won.
