I hear them gaining, this is the worst possible thing to do.
I do it.
I stop and face them they slide on their hind legs to avoid breaking all our snouts. "Anita! You will-" He kept on talking but I couldn't hear him over the snap of wing shooting out of my back. "Anita. We all have wings Hun." He said. He was rather ugly. Wolf-looking like the rest of us Narshlogs. But I was different. "Yes we can fly," I say calmly. "But can we do it, originally?" They look at me as if I'm crazy, which I am, and at that moment I shoot into the frigid air. My snout hardens and polishes into a beak, I turn brown in white. I stretch out my wings and join a V of other Bald eagles next to me. Kinka, the ugly one, shoots out, leaves catching on his wings and flying around him. I do a fancy spiral and they stare. A ugly grey one, Kinka. A black one with a pinkish scar through his eye and on his shoulder, Burta. And a green eyed brown girl Narshlog. Nishuta. She lands on a branch of the oak beneath her. I knew that I had just flown out of boundaries. I was safe until they extended into this seemingly abandoned land. But you couldn't set paw on this land without having a reservation.
I give a sniff on the roots clarifying this was the place. I look up, above the sea of leaves to see stars and the moon, suspended in its highest point in the sky. I start to hear the news. 'Anita former loyal warrior to Nishuta, has been clarified traitor and skin-changer. She has gone into abandoned territory in the direction of the moon sets.' I hear a few loud yelps at the end. So many Narshlogs disappear here. And I am now one of them.
