Taylor's POV
I'm avoiding him, I know I am.
Now that I had seen Harry at the party that night, it seemed like he was popping out of nowhere when I was out for work purposes or with my friends. And each time I either pretend I hadn't seen him and focus on who I'm with or run for the hills. To be honest, I'm still dwelling on why I'm acting like that, and the only sensible conclusion I got is because I'm afraid of forming any sort of friendly relationship with him because we might fall back into that same loop.
And that rings fire alarms all over my mind as it wants me with the fact I'm not completely over him as much as I thought I am. But to be fair, I'm never really completely over any of my exes. Especially my recent ones, and ones that I got engaged to.
I'm so not over Harry.
I let out a loud cry in the empty living room. I nearly cry at the realisation but I just keep making weird noises and grab my phone, calling Selena.
She answers at the first ring with, "You're alive!"
"Hey," I smile helplessly.
"What's the reason for the pleasant call? You finally remembered you have a friend named Selena?"
"Okay now, we've seen each other just two weeks ago." I roll my eyes playfully.
"Still. Anyway, you didn't answer my first question."
I take in a deep breath. "Do not make any assumptions now but...am I the only one who seems to see Harry everywhere?"
"Harry? Harry your ex-fiance? "
I make a face although she can't see me. "No, Harry my plumper- Yes Harry my ex!"
She laughs. "God okay, well I don't know. I guess I have seen him a couple of times on the street with his friends or something. Why? Is there something you want to tell me, Ms Swift?"
I purse my lips, silence lingering for a moment. "Nope. You wanna go out? I'm really bored here and work has been slow this week."
"That's only because now you have people to do the dirty work for you."
"Selena!" I gasp and let out a laugh.
"But of course I want to go out. And Cara called a while ago that she's coming over, so we can just go out together to the new hang out place that opened? Apparently it's called Blues, I can only imagine what theme it'll have. "
"Sounds good, I'll meet you at your place in a bit."
"Duses."
*
I start laughing along with the girls, covering my mouth to control it as Cara keeps on saying the rest of the embarrassing story that happened at one of the shows she was modelling in.
"I'm starving, where is this place?" Cara asks once we calm down.
Selena doesn't answer at first, then she stops walking. "That's it."
We look at the place, looks like a jazz sort of bar where food is served too and teenagers hang out. "Nice," I comment and we walk inside.
As I previously presumed, the place is dimly lit and dark blue lights lit up a small set up stage where a band is playing calm music in the shadow. It's not packed much, just a few occupied tables and stools by the bar that's the only thing properly lit in the place.
Its simplicity is what makes it cosy and special, I already love it.
We occupied a table by the stage and have a plate of french fries on the table with beverages. Our conversation either flowed nonstop or we stared at each performer on stage, so far that was working so well in taking my thoughts off everything as I had fun with my friends and such a cool place...that's until I jinxed it and glanced at the back near the door is.
