Taylor's POV
"Adriana!"
I gasp for air as I finally catch the running girl with a short of breath, both of us tumbling to the ground but I made sure she's on top of me.
"Oh God." I clamp my mouth shut when I feel my back aching, while Adriana is just giggling on me while try to wiggle away from my grip. "Don't scare me like that again," I breathe out heavily.
Adriana made a squealing noise as she looked at me, still laughing endearingly. If she spoke I bet she'd want to do this all over again. God good.
"It's time to eat now, that's enough running around for the day sweetie." I told her as I sat up with a little groan, and then stood up. I held her up to my side.
I kept giving her little remarks despite knowing she barely knows any word other than "momma", "daddy", "Tata" and "Feli" since she can't say the x. It sounds like she's sneezing when she tries saying it. I walked along the park in the chilly air to where Felix is sitting and playing on his phone intently at the picnic matt. I shake my head as I smile softly. He's fifteen years old and already addicted to social media and pointless apps.
"Feli!" Adriana exclaims and reaches out down for him abruptly.
"Woah, okay okay." I sit down and put her beside me, letting her crawl over and disrupt him.
He looks at her startled as she gripped his arm and stood up against him, leaning her head between his face and the phone to grasp his attention. I chuckled at her cuteness and started taking out the food from the basket I prepared this morning. "Are you done with that?" I ask with a smirk as I glance at him.
His gaze flickers to me. "Sorry, just checking some stuff."
"Right."
Adriana notices the containers of food and turns her attention to them as she dropped on her little bum and crawled to where the cut fruits are. "Felix," I call him and gesture to her. He nods and pulls her back, opening the lid and giving her a strawberry.
"Why is her dad not with her again?"
"Work issues, kind of an emergency." I mumble as I open the lid from the sandwiches that I cut in the shapes of triangles, picking one up and pass it over to Felix.
"Thanks, what's in it?" He takes a bite right after asking.
"What do you see in it?" I raise a brow with a chuckle and look down at Adriana and see that she's squeezing the strawberry in her hand as she shoves in her mouth. "Oh- honey," I sigh and reach over and pull her hand away from her mouth and pick her up and place her on my lap. I take a napkin from the basket and wipe her hand then mouth, she tried breaking away but I held her tight and grabbed a bagel, offering to her and she gladly took it.
