"Well, this is a conundrum." I laughed."No it's not, just answer the question, did you say that or didn't you?" She looked into my eyes.
"Well, yes but-"
"But nothing, you said it, that's all I wanted to know."
Y/n P.O.V.
I looked at the steering wheel. I was ready to drive out of here and back home. Why wasn't I doing anything.
Maybe it was the amount of caring I did today, I can't handle this much care in a day. Caring did nothing, I didn't need to care about any of this.
"You didn't let me finish." I turned my head to see Mark with his idiotic, drunken, smile.
"I don't want you to say anything else."
"Why not?" He laughed.
"I can't stand you right now." I looked back at the wheel.
"Good thing you're sitting down." He laughed again.
"Just stop talking!" I looked at him. "I don't want to hear you unless I ask for something! Got it?" I yelled at Mark. That seemed to pull the smile from his face. Though he didn't look scared or sad or angry, he looked concerned. He gave a small nod as he didn't take his eyes off of me. I let out a sigh as I leaned back in my seat.
I took a deep breath.
"How do I open the garage?" I asked. Mark lifted his hand pressing a button. The garage started opening. "Thank you." I spoke quietly before putting the car in reverse.
Driving to my place was weird. Mark didn't say a word, of course that's what I asked for but he's never done it. I started to feel bad for snapping at him, he didn't deserve it, maybe he did but he was drunk. It was unnecessary. Though I didn't want to, I knew what was right.
"I'm sorry." I spoke still looking in front of me.
"Hm?" Mark turned to me. I didn't want to repeat it, but what's fair is fair.
"I'm sorry," I repeated, "for snapping at you." I glanced over at him seeing him smile.
"You don't need to apologise for that." He laughed. "People can only take so much Mark."
"Yeah, all two inches." I scoffed, Mark laughed.
"Don-Don't say comebacks until I'm sober." He said in between laughs.
"Why?" I smiled.
"I'm not gonna remember these." He continued to laugh.
"So I'll use them again."
"That's a great idea." He smiled. "This is why I like you Y/n.."
"What is?"
"You have great ideas." he leaned back onto his seat with a satisfied smile on his face. "Oh my God!"
"What?" I gave him a glance out of worry.
"You should mess with me." He laughed.
"I already do."
"No, like hit me where it hurts."
"Uhm? How?"
"I'll tell you how." I looked over at him quickly.
"What do you mean?"
"Who knows all of my weaknesses better than me? I'll tell you what you can do to actually get on my nerves." He laughed making me smile.
"Why?"
"Because it's funny."
"Okay, go ahead." I glanced over at him.
"Okay what's a good one?" He looked up. "Oh!" He shouted with joy at his own thought. "I know, I hate mannequins." He smiled at me.
"You do?"
"Yes I do!" He moved closer to me.
"Why?"
"Probably their humanistic look while still not holding anything like a soul inside of them, especially the thought of one of them moving."
"Good to know." I smiled.
"Yup." He laid back into his seat.
From where we were I could see my house.
"Anything else you wanna tell me before I go inside?"
"I don't like the ocean, or really any body of water."
"Why?" I pulled up to the curb.
"The unknown, I can't see through all that water who knows what'll be in there." He smiled as I turned the car off.
"Good to know I guess."
"Is this your place?" He pointed at the row of condos.
"One of them are." I unlocked the car and put my hand on the handle.
"How big is one?"
"Big enough."
"Am I coming in to?"
"Could you make it?" I was referring to the five feet walk.
"Probably not."
"Then good night, I'll get you up in the morning." I got out of the car.
"Thanks!" Mark yelled before I closed the door and went in.

I grabbed a water bottle before walking down the stairs to see my dad on the couch. At least he's sleeping well. Walking pass him I headed to the front door, as quietly as I could, then opened the door to leave. Carefully I closed the door before turning to look at Mark's parked car. I like the idea of having a car, I'd get like 5 extra minutes of sleep. I looked into the car seeing Mark asleep.
"I already miss drunk Mark." I mumbled knowing how this Mark would act. Walking to the driver's seat I quietly unlocked and opened the door before sitting down. I looked over at Mark as I slammed the door shut making him jump awake. He looked around, his eyes eventually landing on me.
"Where am I?"
"In the distant future of 2069, you still haven't been laid." I sarcastically answered as I turned his car on.
"What are you doing?" He squinted his eyes, they're probably very sensitive to light being how hungover he was.
"Driving."
"This is my car."
"I know that genius, you're severally hung over so I'm driving."
"I can drive." He sat up.
"You drank 12 beers, a teenager isn't supposed to ingest alcohol-"
"I'm not a teenager." He so rudely interrupted me.
"You're eight-TEEN aren't you?"Mark gave me a bitchy look knowing I was right.
"As a teenager alcohol will be in your system for about a week, so it'd be smart not to drive for a week."
"I'll drive if I want to."
"I know, I said it'd be smart, which I know you aren't."
"Then why aren't I driving?"
"You can kill yourself, but I would rather have my head and body be intact." I took my eyes off of him and looked in the mirror.
Off to school.
