As she stepped inside she saw him, the leader. He devilishly grinned at her and welcomed her into his hell. The guards that surrounded him stood ready to attack once she took the first step. But before doing anything, she called out to her mother for help. Angels came pouring in and in moments the Kyokimi that once stood proudly were on the floor. Her mother leading the team looked at her daughter and nodded directing her to continue her path towards her target. As she stepped closer, her anger grew. The girl with her uniform on her body had disappeared. There was a creature with glowing eyes, elegant wings, the magical armor that had been given remained, and powerful swords were placed in her fierce hands. The beast stepped down from the throne that he sat upon. Before anyone made a move a body shifted into front of the angel.
"I'm not letting you fight this monster alone." It was Constance.
The she-wolf jumped into the air and slashed the villain with her machete across the chest. As she fell back she felt a sharp pain in her rib cage. She looked down to see the armor torn off like paper and her stomach gashing blood red. Crashing to the floor a panicked Esperanza ran to her telling her how much of an idiot she was. The angel looked back to see another claw coming for her. As he was about to rip her neck off, a shield created by the angel blocked the attack. Esperanza used the opportunity to make a move.
Rushing into the air she drew her blades across the arm of the leader; forcing a violent cry out of his mouth. She sliced at his claws forcing him to back away. She couldn't help but look back at her bleeding friend; the others had come to try and stop it but it was pouring out fast. Suddenly she was clutched by broken fist and looked into the deadly eyes of the demented monster.
A chilling laugh escaped his lips as he drew a sharp claw across her cheek. The fear and pain was unbearable. He threw his arm across her neck, but was stopped by a heat of fire. He looked over to see a dark red dragon; with eyes the color of lime he waited for his target,
"Oh Jedrek long time no see. These must be your little agents that are as weak as twigs." The monster taunted.
"Let her go now. I'm not here for small talk." The dragon hissed.
The creatures stared at the site of their boss in his true form. He spread his wings to make his way to the leader of the Kyokimi. Esperanza screamed for him to not save her in fear he would have the same fate as her and Constance. He paused with a gust of wind flying into the Kyokimi, dropping Esperanza. She landed and looked up to see the opponents face each other once again.
As the two stared the dragon threw his head back to let out a shot of explosive fire only to be dodged. They went back and forth; claws swinging and fire flying it only took time before one would hit their fast target. The helpless angel wanting to help looked towards her swords on her right and left sides. She made up her mind as she looked up to see the dragon injured against the wall. She made her way up again to the leader leaving one sword behind; the fear in her eyes turned to anger.
The Kyokimi turned to see an angel with glowing eyes, a sword in one hand and a glowing ball of light in the other. She threw the light that pushed him into the wall and rushed to cut deeper into the mark that had healed from the blow from Constance. He cried in pain but slowly stood back up. He felt fire on the side of his face as the dragon got up for the ground where he was laying. The invincible Kyokimi stood still waiting for another attack.
Before the two could think of their next move, a fast slash ran across his risk. Confused everyone looked around to see what happened. Wings slowly flew down next to the young angel. Her mom joined the fight. His hands fell to the floor unable to harm anyone. Looking down with a burnt face he snarled at the trio against him,
"You'll pay for this." Before falling to the floor bleeding to death.
Esperanza remembered her dying friend and looked back. She was pale, her breathing was off, and she was still losing more and more blood. She flew over to her and lifted up her head. The she-wolf turned to her and smiled faintly,
"You did good kid, I'm proud of you. Promise me that you'll kill even more Kyokimi so that they can never kill another member again."
"Constance don't talk like that! I can heal just stay with me please I'm sorry I let this happen to you."
"It's not your fault."
"Yes it is! If I hadn't gone against the plan you wouldn't have made the decision to try and fight the leader. Constance I'm sorry."
She waited for a response, but there was nothing. She was gone. As she held her crying in her arms the mother of the half angel came down next to her. She asked if she was a member of the Agency. Esperanza told her she was one of the best fighters there and sacrificed herself to try and kill the beast. As her mother listened she looked at her with soft eyes and a genuine smile before say,
"Honey, I'm able to revive the dead. After all I'm an angel. We only do so under God's command."
"Are you saying?!"
"Yes I am, He says this is not her time. Now I'm going to need you to move over."
Esperanza stepped aside as the angel bent down to the deceased she-wolf. She took her in her arms and began to sing what sounded like a lullaby.
Wake up little she-wolf, open your eyes
Look up at the stars that burn so bright
Don't fret little she-wolf, you've won the fight
The pain you've had will be alright
Get up little she-wolf, dust off your fur
Your life is more than blood and war
Suddenly the girl in her arms woke up from her immortal sleep. She looked around dazed at everyone's faces before being attacked with the love they had for her. She asked what happened and what was going on. The group looked around before deciding to tell her that she had died but was resurrected.
Bewildered she looked down at her attacked rib, she was missed a few ribs and her stomach was badly damaged. Wondering how she would be able to walk someone walked up to her. They placed their hand on her shoulder and told her they would be able to fix it, Esperanza.
She looked down at the wound and placed her hand on the throbbing tissues. Constance flinched as she watched new muscles and skin from underneath her hand. As her new body was made, Esperanza helped her up. Amazed she bear hugged her friend, thanking her for saving her.
As the others watched someone spoke up,
"Hey Constance, you should probably get some rest after all this. In fact all of us should. I think we should head back to the Agency at this point." Axel said.
The group turned and began their journey back to the Agency. They would go and tell the good news of the battle they had won.
