As Esperanza and Axel made their way to the bridge. Esperanza realized that they were talking about the same bridge that she had spent most of her days as a lone wolf. They met up with Constance who wasn't too happy that they were late. But Axel explained to her that Esperanza needed to have her ID made.

The girl with dark chocolate hair couldn't hear the two fighting though, as she looked over the bridge into the dull river slowly flowing under her. It was always peaceful for her to hear the sound the waves made as they crashed into each other trying to move forward.

As she was watching she suddenly heard someone call her name, it was Axel. He saw a victim of depression hanging on the side of the bridge and needed help analyzing him. Esperanza came and watched with him. Both of them saw the same expression Axel saw on the woman he had seen in the past, sadness.

But all of a sudden Esperanza moved out of the way to try and help the poor man from what he was doing, it was in her nature. As Axel tried to stop her she shook him off and began to use what her mom taught her, mind reading. As she read his mind she could hear all the hopeless thoughts racing through his brain,

I'm so worthless nobody wants me here. I don't deserve to be here. Everyone thinks I look like a piece of shit, I'm beat up everyday, my step dad abuses me... I just can't take it anymore.

After listening to everything Esperanza finally decided another mind trick; she could enter people's mind through her readings. She looked to Axel and told him to stay where he was before disappearing in thin air into the man's mind and began to speak to him,

Hey mister I know you're hurting. But you can't let what people say to you get to your head; that's letting them win. And those who beat you up everyday? They won't be around forever and you can find help if you'd try. As for your step dad, get out of that house at all cost and bring your mom as well. He's abusive calling the police will do no harm.

The man was confused at the new voice that he was hearing in his head, Axel and Constance could see this confusion externally on his face.

What?!? Who are you and what do you want from me?? You're wrong about everything you're saying, everything's wrong! Only dying will get rid of my pain.

You see that's where you are wrong. You're only in these situations because you've allowed yourself to be put down and beaten up; but that doesn't mean you can't get yourself out.

The man was lost for words. He didn't know what to say since this voice was not only unrecognizable but also in his head. For so long all he saw was death, he didn't think of anything else. But then Esperanza said a few other words,

I'll find someone to help you just please believe me.

The man began to cry from hearing someone pleading for him to not die. To want him to stay. To feel like someone had cared about him.
Axel and Constance saw this and became very confused.

But how? How will someone love a person like me? It's just not possible.

Yes it is you just have to keep trying, I can't force you to try but you have to be the one who's willing to keep pushing through hard times. There are plenty of people who are with others who are struggling, you just have to be willing try and get over that hill of sadness. That is what will draw people in.

Once Esperanza said this the man stopped and thought for a very long time. Everyone heard sirens and the man looked up and saw a police man reaching out his hand to bring him back up. All he could think of was.

Find a person by getting over sadness.

As he reached out his hand, his foot slipped and tried to reach for the officer's hand but it was too late, he was falling. But Esperanza couldn't have this, she wouldn't let this happen. She reentered the world unseen by men and that's when she fell down with him as well.

She grabbed him and held him in her chest as her back was facing the water. He may have been bigger than her, but that didn't stop her. As they were about to reach what would have been death suddenly she spread her wings and with one flap pushed her way across the water still facing the sky.

She then began to really kick in her wings before flipping to gain some height. That's when she pulled a 360 up into the air to return the man back to the same stop on the bridge but reached her hand with his to the officer.

Of course the whole time the man was terrified and had no idea what was happening; but she couldn't reveal who she was. And the officers were confused as to how he got back to the place where he was before. But it didn't matter because the man went with them and they took him to a place where he could get help.

When Esperanza got back to Axel and Constance the two looked at her with surprised and confused faces as they didn't know how the man's emotions changed and they had seen her use her wings. Axel began to question her asking her what she found out about the man and how he had changed and all she said was,

"I read and entered his mind and told him the things he needed to hear. Once that happened he started seeing things differently but when he fell; I couldn't take it so I became invisible to people and saved him."

They stared and asked if she knew why he was so sad and she explained that she did and told them why. Once they gathered the information they returned to Mankind's Agency to report the information to the boss.

The trio entered the headquarters to give the full case to their boss,

"Hey boss we've figured out our case on human emotion and destructive death." Axel said.

The boss glanced over and smiled knowing that Esperanza was behind them gathering the information so fast.

"Well let's here it."

Axel moved out of the away to direct attention to Esperanza. As she felt more comfortable around the boss she explained all she experienced,

"Well there was a man hanging from the bridge and I've always tried helping people. So I used my mind reading to listen to his thoughts then enter his mind to talk to him. I comforted him and told all the things he needed to hear because he was sad with his life and needed someone to give him hope. But once he changed his mind he fell.

I wasn't going to have this, so I jumped too. But I became invisible at least to people, and caught him. Then I spread my wings and flew him back to the same spot where police officers were trying to help him. We left once he was safe. I wasn't worried because he never saw me, and people probably won't believe what he or the police members say."

The boss stared at her for a moment before telling the group that they did well, but that they should be more careful before they expose themselves. They nodded and walked out. Constance wasn't too happy with the small bit of disappointment, but was grateful to have Esperanza there at the same time.

Esperanza wondered if Constance's attitude really was from the attack. Even though Constance and Axel are very close, Esperanza could tell Constance was hiding something she wanted nobody to find out. Then she remembered a question she was dying to ask,

"Hey Constance I was wondering, since I have my own ID, and I've seen Axel's what's yours look like?"

Constance looked at her and smirked,
"So the newbie wants to know a little info about me."

She paused before deciding it would be harmless to show her the ID. When Esperanza held the ID it read,

Name: Constance Roxanne Willowbreeg
Birthdate: August 29
Age: 20
Height: 5' 9"
Weight: 140

Esperanza read the ID a little before handing it back to the she-wolf. She remembered something and asked if the boss had an ID as well. Constance laughed at how nosy the newbie seemed to be. She decided to go to his office and tell him of her curiosity and he agreed to show her,

Name: Jedrek Maximus Shepherd
Birthdate: December 20
Age: 45
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 215

Esperanza handed back the card as Constance went back to his headquarters. As they went back to the office to see what the next mission would be Esperanza looked out the window to see a sight that she thought she never would have seen.
