Every one was feeling down after the loss of our teammates, as we realised that we could be one of them. I mean don't get me wrong we were sad that they died, it's just... reality didn't sink in until that happened. We lost four teammates just because it was prophesied. We continued our journey to Louisiana where the hydras would be.

(TIME SKIP)

After we arrived we had already lost one of our teammates from the trip, a cyclops came up and attacked us from behind, we tried to stop him but he got one of us. We were almost at the swamp when we suddenly heard a growl. We all did a quick turn of our heads to see two hydras. We all immediately split up and dove into the swamp, Everyone went in the same direction so we wouldn't get split up. I slowed down from the rest of the group and quickly climbed up a tree, to try and confuse the hydras or get one to chase me. I am jumping through the branches when I have an idea. I get closer to the group and say "Miranda and Alexandra , grab the vine that's in front of you I have a plan.

They both grab the vine and quickly scramble up. Miranda turns to me and says "What are we doing?" I quickly say "Give me your hands I'll explain in a minute." We quickly shadow travel a few branches ahead. When we are on the branch I say "Alexandra can you use your magic to light some of Miranda's arrows on fire?" Alexandra smirks and holds out a palm that has a flame growing in it. Miranda gives Alexandra some of her arrows and I give her a stick for me to use so we can seal the hydras' heads.

We start our plan and drop from the trees when the group comes in with the hydras quickly chasing after. I vaguely notice that we are missing another teamate. The hydras closing in I go to the side and yell " Hey άσχημο! Εδώ είμαι! Ελα να με πάρεις!" (Meaning:

Hey ugly! I'm right here! Come and get me!) One of the hydras as if sensing I had insulted it charged after me when I use my sword and slice off one of the heads, I use the torch as it tries to form another head the smell of burnt rotting meat emitting from where its head was.

The other head glared at me as I dodged it's attacks. I sliced off the other head and I got galf way through when my torch died out. "No no no no!" I said just then three flaming arrows came to my rescue, sealing it off the rset of the way. I quickly stabbed where the heart would be just to make sure that it was dead. It quickly fell limp to the ground. I yelled "Is everyone alright?" I heard many shouts of yes, so I quicky cut off a small patch of hydra skin that shatters into little scales. I make my way over to the group, and I hear many gasps as I say "What?" I then notice everyone looking at my arm and see a long gash. "Oh." Grace quickly comes over and hands me an ambrosia square while starting to bandage my left arm. I take a bite of ambrosia and sigh in relief, it was making my pain seep away and tasted like a right out of the oven chockate chip cookie. After Grace finished bandaging my arm we continued our adventure.

I stared at the golden apple in my hand. It glimmered in the moonlight like a beacon of hope, yet my fingers couldn't help but tingle with repulsion where my skin met the outside of the fruit. This apple, this one, measly piece of fruit, was enough to make 16 Demigods risk their lives.

Our goal was greater than the apples, and would require much more risk, though; we'd have to endure numerous tasks just like the one we'd just faced for the prophecy. To get into the underworld, to retrieve the amulet, to save our camp, our home. Part of me wondered if the lives of 15 Demigods was worth it, but each of us made a commitment to protect each other and our home- being heroes, risking our lives, that's what we did best.
