"Wow," I said. "That's a lot."
"So, tell me about your family."
"Well, my dad is in the military and my mom is a teacher. I'm the oldest and it's just me and my little brother, Timmy."
"Is your dad stationed anywhere?"
"Iraq. He's been there for three years now."
"Wow. It must be hard."
"Yeah. But he's the reason I'm in marching band. I march for him. I was in band in middle school. I was always made fun of for being in band. I wanted to leave but my dad talked me out of it. He became a band dad for my cousin Ethan and I."
"Wow. Well, I'm glad you never left. You're so beautiful when you play."
I giggled. "Oh just wait. I'm supposed to have a solo for concert band."
Jonathan smiled. He was so handsome when he smiled. I think I was falling in love. His eyes were even mesmerizing.
"Wow. Awkward silence." Jonathan laughed. I flashed a smile. "You're so beautiful, when you smile." Jonathan put his hand on my cheek and rubbed his finger against it. He stroked his hand through my hair.
We leaned closer and closer together. He wrapped his hands around my waist and we kissed.
