"You loved him enough to let him leave... Now you need to love yourself enough to let him go."
~Ranata SuzukiHarley's POV
I walked into my crowded English class. I glanced around the room noticing all the kids standing and talking with friends, throwing paper and shit around the room. This was the only class I didn't have friends in. I made my way to my desk that stood in the front row. I couldn't help but roll my eyes when noticing Bentley Milkovich sitting in the desk beside mine, a smirk on his face as he stared up at me.
I threw my book bag to the floor and pushed my dark brown hair behind my ears. I could feel Bentley's eyes on me as I dug through my book bag, in search of my homework. I tried my hardest to ignore the blue eyes that remained glued to my body.
"Alright, alright settle down." Called Mrs. Clark as she stepped into the slightly over crowded classroom. Everyone quickly stopped talking and made their way to their desks. I sat down and tried my best not to look over at Bentley. I could still feel his strong gaze burning holes into the side of my face.
Mrs. Clark was quick to turn on a film, her way of getting out of teaching for the day. I could hardly pay attention to the boring film about conjunctions. I began tapping my pencil against my wooden desk. I looked over to Bentley, his eyes still focused on me. I rose my eyebrows at the boy before whispering,
"What? I got shit on my face or something?" I watched as a smile formed on his tan face. He quickly shook his head, telling me no. "Then what?" I asked, rather annoyed with his creepy staring.
"You look nice today." He complemented. My eyebrows furrowed together. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the kid. I looked down to make sure I wasn't showing cleavage, considering that would be the only reason he'd ever complement a girl's appearance.
While looking down I realized I was wearing a gray sweater, one that hid away everything. I frowned in confusion before looking back at him, he still had a smile on his face which was starting to give me the creeps as well.
"How was your weekend?" He asked. I rolled my eyes and looked away from him, turning my attention to the screen in front of me. I tried desperately to pay attention to the video but I found it difficult as I noticed from the corner of my eye Bentley was still staring at me. I turned to face him and before I could stop myself I said,
"Nice of you to actually join us in class today." Bentley smiled and chuckled silently at my words.
"I thought I'd come in to see you, princess." He replied sarcastically. I rolled my eyes at him, making him continue with the torture. "I just wanted to see your beautiful face. Is that a crime?" I couldn't help but notice his lip curve into a devilish smirk as he waited for me to retaliate, he knew exactly how to get under my skin.
