'2. How am I Anni?'

I'm almost more concerned with the name itself than the fact that I was just literally forced to say it, maybe even 'programmed' to. Anni? Annie? I'm not a girl, am I?

Well, I'm a trait. It's not like I really have... A gender. Do I now?

Thomas doesn't further our conversation, and I don't either. I almost wish he did, maybe it could provide me with a clue as to what's going on, but I think that in Thomas's mind he's just a regular new kid.

I remember his first day of high school. He wasn't the 'new kid' he was just one among many 'freshmen' (fresh men? I don't get it) and I suppose that took the attention off of him for a while. It was later on that he received more of it, in a negative way, and I grew some amounts stronger.

Before high school, Prince ruled.

Then I did.

Even I'll admit that Prince was a better choice, and that's not just me being self deprecating by nature. I was genuinely destroying him (admittedly, I was very good at my goal, which was that) and Prince was fighting the good fight.

The plot thickens when I find a satchel filled with belongings hanging off the chair I used in math class. My name is on the bedoodled notebooks and my snarky attitude and commentary on whatever is also written in the edges of the papers.

'Mrs Finnegan, why are you asking us if we want homework to be funny? That isn't funny. You aren't funny. Go and die.' Well, my elegant and sharp way of wording things developed later on than... Junior year, which is the grade I'm apparently in.

There's notebooks half-filled with me that I never touched, knick-knacks for calming anxiety that I definitely never purchased (that would be quite ironic, and it is) and a mental map of the high school I've never seen in my head.

Which is how I know exactly how to get to history class without getting tripped over by the jocks, which I now have vivid memories of happening before. Damn.

Today has been awful; I'm confused and honestly scared and I'm expecting a panic attack by three PM, but...

Princey is in my United States history class.
