A/N : so I've actually never done this type of imagine before so I thought I'd experiment. If it sucks, don't be afraid to ask for another one Maryn, haha. Hope you like! Oh, and sorry for the small 1D reference at the beginning. I was listening to kiss you at the time.

"SO TELL ME GIRL IF EVERY TIME WE TOU-U-UCH! YOU GET THIS

KINDA RU-U-USH!" I screamed.

"BABY SAYIN YEAAYEEAHYEEAAH!" Ross screamed with me. Currently, my best friend and I were celebrating. Celebrating what? Zach had asked me out!! Ross was the only one who happened to know that I had a massive crush on Zach, so we were dancing around my house like idiots.

"I'm so happy for you Mar!" He smiled, after we fell back on my bed laughing. "Now I have Jenna, and you have Zach!"

I smiled back at him, trying to keep my mouth shut. Truth is, I used to like Zach. Then... I fell in love with my best friend. And shortly after that discovery, he got a girlfriend.. Queen of the brats. Jenna.

"Yup!" I said after a few seconds.

"Hey, do you want to go on a double date with Jenna and I?" He asked.

"Yeah, um, that sounds fun!" I choked out, then automatically regretted it. Watching him be all lovey with someone ELSE. Well this was gonna be fun.

It was Friday night now, and I was getting ready for our date. Ross had come over, saying he could take me there since our dates were driving themselves. Now I was curling my hair while Ross put the finishing touches on his blonde locks.

"You excited?" He asked.

"Um.. Yeah! Super!" I answered. "How did Jenna like the idea of double-dating?"

"She didn't exactly love it.. I don't know why, but I don't think she likes you that much. She almost seems jealous, like every time you're around me." Hearing this was kind of a shock, I knew she hated me but not for that reason.

"Oh... Zach didn't exactly love it either. But he did for me, I guess."

"Oh by the way.. I want to talk to you for a second." He turned down the music that was playing.

"What is it?" I asked, sitting on my bed.

"Well, you and I both know Zach's kind of.. a player, and I just want you to be ready. He doesn't act like I do, or any of your other friends really... He's kind of a jerk to a lot of people. And I know he likes you, and that's amazing, but I just don't want to see you get your heart broken. So don't go too fast, okay?" He looked so genuinely concerned it almost made me tear up.

"Thanks for looking out for my Ross." I smiled, giving him a hug.

"No problem Maren." He returned the hug wrapping his arms around me.

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we didn't see either of our dates cars, so we went ahead and grabbed everyone a table.

We sat and talked for a few minutes before I heard that... annoying giggle.

"Oh, hey Jenna." I fake smiled. When she saw me her face dropped. "Oh. You're here." I didn't respond, because something bad would happen if I did. Then she spoke up again. "Um, why are you sitting next to MY boyfriend? Why don't you move to the other side of the booth?"

I rolled my eyes, reluctantly moving, not bothering to give her an actual answer. I was across from Ross now, and he mouthed a 'sorry.'

Then Zach walked in, and came over taking his seat next to me.

"Hey babe." He gave me that weird half-smile. I hated when he called me that.

"Hey." I replied. "What's up?"

Before he responded though, he was eyeing Jenna.

I mean there was no doubt she was beautiful. She was a Barbie doll. Blonde hair, perfect makeup, name-brand EVERYTHING. I couldn't help but be a little jealous.

"What's your name?" He asked her.

"Oh, I'm Jenna." She have him a stupid giggle, like always.

"Oh, hey Ross." He mumbled.

Throughout dinner it was a lot of Ross and I talking, trying to get our dates to talk but they didn't seem too into it. Once the boys paid the check, Zach spoke up. "Hey, I'm gonna go to the bathroom."

"Alright, I'll be here." I smiled, and he gave me a quick kiss on the cheek. It was actually something nice and cute for once. I blushed a little.

A few minutes later, I just pulled out my phone and waited.

"Hey baby my friend's calling, I'll be back in a few minutes." I looked up to see Jenna getting up and leaving.

"So did you have fun?" Ross smiled at me.

"Yeah, tons!" I forced the words out of my mouth.

"Hey, do you wanna go up to the door and wait for them?" He asked.

I nodded and we headed for the door. We talked for a few minutes before Ross cut off his words mid-sentence and clenched his fists with anger, looking at something behind me.

I turned around to see what was wrong and automatically lost my breath. Zach and Jenna were having a full-out make out session outside the bathroom doors.

Ross walked past me and over to them, and the second they noticed, Jenna was like a little puppy.

"Oh, hey Rossy, what are you doing here baby..?"

"Save it Jenna. We're done. And that goes for you and Maren too." He added, turning to Zach.

With that, that both turned back to each other and restarted their kiss.

he walked back over and took my hand, pulling me out of the restaurant and into his car.

The ride home was silent, and for some reason I was fairly upset.

"Hey, are you alright?" He turned to me at a stop light.

I kept my gaze at my lap, not wanting to look him in the eyes. I simply shook my head yes, although I could feel my eyes welling up.

He didn't respond, and continued driving. Not even a minute later we pulled into his driveway and he took me inside and up to his room.

"Come here." He whispered.

And with that, I was in his arms, my tears running out and onto his shirt.

"I wish I could go punch that jerk in the face right now." He whispered in my ear, rubbing circles in my back.

I picked my head up. "Are you alright?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I guess... I didn't expect her to last long, she was kind of a brat. Besides, I think I like someone else.. Maybe even love."

I froze. I couldn't even help the fact that I started crying harder. When he noticed he kind of went into panic mode.

"Maren are you okay? Mar calm down..." He wiped my eyes.

Then something boiled up inside of me and I let it all out.

"I can't calm down Ross! You may not have realized it but I was not into Zach at all. I haven't liked him for 2 years! It was all a stupid act to take my mind off from who I really loved, because he had a girlfriend. I can't just sit here and watch him go after ANOTHER girl that isn't me. I'll break. I-" and then without any warming, I felt a pair of warm soft lips on mine. I froze for a few seconds before completely melting into the kiss.

He pulled away after a few seconds. "I'm in love with my best friend." I choked out, smiling at him.

"And I was too stupid to realize that I am too."

Just then, I heard a scream.

"RYDEL GET LOST!" Ross yelled.

"I can't help it, my favorite ship has sailed!" She giggled, stepping into the room. "You two are adorable. Glad you finally realized you're perfect for each other!"

I blushed, looking at my lap.

"Yeah, I'm glad too."
