He assumed that because Harry sent him the message during the night with my phone... it was obvious, for him.

"We didn't," I stepped out.

"So you didn't sleep with him but he had your phone so he could insult me?"

"I'm not going to give you explanations about what happened, okay? But I'll just make this clear to you. I didn't have sex with him,"

I said in a low voice so that just Carter heard me, then I walked to Jolene's office.

She was so chick, just like a magazine's manager must be. Elegant, with an amazing body and a beautiful persona.

"My favourite girl!" She hugged me.

If she is a mother, she must be wonderful.

"How are you?" She asked me.

I told her in a simple way about my vacations and she told me about hers in France with her little boy and her husband.

"So I talked to your school. With Mr. Flores and well, you have a great grade and a little job," she smiled. "Once a month you'll work for me. For each interview I'll pay you the same amount, 500 for article. It must be about Hollywood, fame or fashion. Would you like to do it?" She raised her eyebrows. "Applied to that, you'll have extra points for it," she smiled.

"Of course I want!" I jumped like a little girl on my chair.

She laughed at me. I thanked her and left the office, Carter was sitting on the floor just in front of me.

"What happened?" he asked me. His smile, it was just so white and big and stunning.

I thought maybe he'd be mad because I talked to him in a rude way just minutes ago.

"I just... I'm hired!" I replied.

He stood up and hugged me, I had never hugged him before and he was just so fit, I could feel his perfect figure against mine, I bet he goes to the gym every day. He was handsome and so kind, I treated him like nothing and since I got here he has supported me like anyone else. Why was I always so bitchy with people who are so good with me? Maybe it's because I'm afraid, maybe wanting someone is dangerous, and once they leave they forget about you even if they mean the world to you.

"Congrats," he whispered in my ear. I can't deny I had chills. "Would you like to go for lunch to celebrate?" he asked me.

"Carter..." I sighed, "I appreciate it but,"

"Harry will be upset. Okay I get it," he crossed his arms and looked away.

"I don't give a damn if he is upset because I'm not his property, okay? I just meant I was in a long flight a couple hours ago and I'm tired. Can we go tomorrow?"

I was really sleepy. I just wanted to curl into my sheets and sleep like never before. These weeks I didn't sleep too well and I had to recover being awake for two weeks or so.

"Well then. I'll be there for you at 4 pm?"

I nodded and kissed his cheek goodbye. I walked to my house, I didn't even know how I was capable to do so now that I was almost a sleepwalker, but I just needed fresh air, more than twelve hours in a plane wasn't healthy. I was jetlagged.

In that moment my phone rang again, it was Harry. If I didn't answer, maybe he'd insist till my phone crashes.

"What?" I answered.

"What?" he asked. "Why are you ignoring me? Why are you in London?" he was so pissed, almost screaming at me.

"Because I live here," I replied calmly.
