I turned around and looked at him.

"What?"

"Are you really dating Harry?" He showed me a magazine.

It was us.

"You don't need to know that,"

"Are you then?" He asked.

"Yes," I said even though we were not dating for him.

Maybe Audrey was right, this wasn't going to last.

"You said you didn't like him,"

"Carter I don't need to give you explanations about my feelings," I was being rude but he pissed me off.

"Well don't give me then but just let me know you don't hate me,"

"I don't." It was true, I didn't. I was just still upset.

"Can we be friends again?" He tilted his head. "I just, I really don't want to be in bad terms with you plus we are coworkers,"

After knowing what he wanted to do with me he was so nice, even if it was false.

"Okay, friends again," I smiled.

"Yay! So let me buy you the coffee," he paid my coffee and gave the exact order I wanted.

"Will you stay here until you finish your coffee?" He asked me.

In that moment my phone rang, it was Harry.

"Yes, I will."

I sat with him and drank all my coffee. We talked about my new article, some of the young workers were jealous of it. We talked about Jolene being pregnant again and then I remembered Julie, I hadn't call for too long to know about my new nephew.

My phone rang four times more and I finally left my coffee cup empty.

"I must go now," I said.

"Let me drive you home," he offered.

"I don't know if that's actually a good idea," I said.

"He can be your boyfriend but he can't control your friends,"

"It's not because of him, I just–," I didn't want him to be that close to me again. "Alright then, thanks." I concluded.

We got quickly to my house; it is only five or six blocks from Starbucks to my house. The story repeated again, Harry's car was parked just in front of the building but there was anyone inside.

"Thanks for bringing me home," I said.

He tried to kiss my cheek but I jerked away.

"You're welcome,"

I smiled and walked out of the car. Climbed the stairs and turned around to check if Carter was gone, he wasn't there. I opened my door and there were Kaylee and Harry. He had his elbows on his knees and his eyes focused on me when I walked in; Kaylee turned around and looked at me so serious.

"Did I interrupt something?" I said.

Kaylee smiled and Harry was still looking at me in the same position he was before. No one answered me so I just walked to my bedroom, it seemed that the cleaning lady came today, she cleaned my bedroom and ironed my clothes. Harry's tee was on my bed, the one I had worn in the States.

"Why the actual fuck were you with him?" Harry said behind me.

"I was in Starbucks and he was too, he just brought me home," I explained.
