Chapter 8: Trial

*TIME SKIP FROM LAST CHAPTER*

Eren's POV

I've been down here in this dungeon for who knows how many days. It's been what seems like days since I was last visited by Commander Erwin, Levi Heichou, and Zandra. I wonder how everyone is doing.

Then I heard the door open from down the hall, hoping it was someone that would take me out of this dungeon.

The footsteps became closer. then a face of a woman with glasses and brown messy hair up in a ponytail, and she was in the scouting legion. After her, Zandra came, and then some other guy also from the scouting legion came.

"Ah, so you must be Eren!" she asked in a happy voice. "Well today is you lucky day, because your getting out of here."

A smiled appeared on my face. I couldn't wait to see sunlight again! but mostly, I couldn't wait to see Armin and Mikasa again!

"But we only have one request, is that you wear these." the women with glasses held out 2 pairs of hand cuffs.

"Oh, Zandra, you will have to wear these too." She turned around and told Zandra.

"What why?" Zandra asked.

"Because your being trialed as well." she told Zandra.

"What? No one ever told me this!" Zandra wasn't too happy.

Eren's POV

As we were walking, Zandra was walking on my right side and she looked pissed. On her other side was was the girl with brown hair and glasses. And to my left was a guy from the survey corps. Who was sniffing my neck?!

"Oh, that's Mike," the girl with glasses explained. "And I'm Hanji Zoe. Mike has the tendency to sniff people he just met. Then smirking. I find it useless but he's good enough to give him his own squad."

"You have your ways, and he has his," Zandra snapped at Hanji still facing forward.

It was awkwardly quiet for a second when Hanji broke the silence.

"Oooh! Too much chit-chat! We are already here!" Hanji apologized

The two military police opened the double doors and pushes me and Zandra in. But I stopped just before the doors closed is in.

"Wait!" I yelled back

"I know it's cruel, but it needs to be done. Good luck." Hanji then closed the doors completely shut.

I turned around and realized that this whole time I'd been under the military court. As I was gazing, I noticed that the set up was weird.

Military Police on my right, survey corps and some Garrison to my left.

Then I felt the tip of a gun press against the center of my back. The same happened with Zandra.

"Step forward." one of them growled.

But all Zandra did was turn around and looked at them like she was ready to kill them. But something stopped her. She turned around and told me to step forward.

Wait, her mouth didn't move. Was I just hearing things?

"Eren, don't show them fear," Zandra said to me. But her mouth still didnt move. She was looking forward the whole time.

"Eren, only you can hear me, I'm sending you a mind message. Just don't make it obvious."

"What is she talking about?" I thought in my head.

"Don't bother responding. I can't read your thoughts, I can only hear you if you can send me a message." She spoke I my head again. "Just follow my instructions, tell them everything you know, don't lie, and don't make yourself sound like the enemy."

I made a small nod to make sure that I knew what she was talking about.

I was told to kneel. I was in the center of court while Zandra was told to kneel behind me by the railing that sperated us two, from everyone else.

I looked back at her and she didn't bother to look at me. During this whole time, she looked really pissed. I wonder what's going on inside of her head. And I wonder why she is even being trailed with me. Or why we were even here.

"Eren Jeager, Zandra Smith," the judge started the trial.

"Wait? Smith? Isn't that Commander Erwin's last name? is she his daughter?? Wait! why am I thinking about something like this now?" I thought.

"I have been told that you, Eren, can turn into Titan. And you, Zandra, has wings. Is this true."

"Yes sir," Zandra spoke.

"Yes sir," I followed after Zandra spoke.

"In this trial, I will decide which military beach gains custody of you two. the military police, or the survey corps. the military police may start."

"Yes sir. We believe that Eren Jeager and Zandra Smith, appear to be a threat. We would like to take custody, and study these two creatures, and possibly get answers out of them. We'd like to take them and dissect them for research, and for the safety of humanity."

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Zandra. She looked like she was ready for the kill, but something was holding her back. I wonder what it is.

"Now why do you see them as a threat?" The judge asked.

"In out records, it says that at age nine, Eren Jeager and Mikasa Ackerman were captured, and killed the three men who captured them. Even though, it may have been a self defense, we see this as in human like." The commander of the MP responded.

Oh crap, they found that? They better not hurt Mikasa. From the corner of my eye, Zandra was looking at me shocked.

"And for Zandra Smith, it is known that Commander Erwin Smith raised her as his own since she was a baby. But she is not in any of our records. Even though when Erwin was working, she was sent to be watched by a few of our soldiers. And since we don't know anything about her, we would like to ask her a few questions right now if you don't mind."

"Sure, go ahead. I'd like to hear this myself," the judge answered.

**okay, so these question for Zandra are going to be pretty long, so I'm just gonna create another chapter for you guys! Okay?**
