Chapter 12: HQ

Eren's POV

We arrived at HQ and guess what the first task we all had to do... Clean..... ._.

Levi Heichou is such a clean freak. I hope he can't read minds so he doesn't here me say that. I wonder why Zandra couldn't tell me anything.

Zandra wasn't here today. She had to go someplace. I don't know where but Levi Heichou said it apparently was important. Then he goes on saying that she left probably just because she didn't want to clean. And I don't blame her for thinking that.

Now we were sitting at a table in the mess hall with the Special Ops Squad. Also known as Squad Levi. Levi's squad was made up of the best scouting legion soldiers. I don't know if Zandra is apart of this squad or she just hangs around here or anything.

For some reason I can't stop thinking about Zandra. I have so many questions to ask. And I keep thinking about how Zandra and I looked alike. It was weird to think about all this.

***Next morning**

Eren's POV

I'd just spent all night listening to Hanji Zoe's story about her experimants with the titans. We were inturupted when someone came bursting through the door saying that the 2 titans she just captured were killed.

We were about to leave when Commander Erwin comes up to me and asks the weirdest thing that got me thinking...

"What do you see... Who do you think the enemy is?" he paused for a moment as I just looked over to him shocked. "Sorry to ask such a strange thing." then he just walked away.

Levi and Zandra were waiting for him and when he met up with the 2 they walked back to there horses.

That was... Strange...

I didn't know what to think..

What are they hiding?

We got back to HQ and I had to clean the stables.. yuck!

I actually really like horses, I feal so close to them, and I've gotten into that weird habit to talk to them. And the weird thing is, that it seems like they listen to me, I might be just imagining things but it sure seems like they are listening and understanding what I'm saying.

Anyway, when I finished, I walked out and noticed that my friends were here.

"Huh, Armin? Mikasa?" I mumbled to myself. "Sir, may I go talk to my friends?" I asked Oluo.

"Tch, get going," he replied.

I didn't have time to say thank you to him. I just ran past him. I missed them two so much!

"Mikasa! Armin!" I shouted while running up to them.

They turned around, both looking shocked to see me.

"Eren!" Armin said joyfully

"Seems like it's been long time," I said to both of them.

"Eren!" Mikasa was still in shock, "Eren, are you alright? did they hurt you at all? Did they search every square inch of you?!" Mikasa was concerned and she grabbed both of my hands.

"No, nothing like that," I told her

"Or did they phycologcally torture you?!" she asked, face full of concern and shock.

"No, nothing like that either!" I told her again

She looked away and her face darkend.

"That short guy went too far. Someday, I'll watch him pay for what he did." she cursed.

"What? you mean Levi Heichou? Mikasa if he didn't so that, then I wouldn't be standing here right now!"

"But still..."

The other trainees stopped and turned around, and I realized that almost everyone joined!

"Hey, you guys?"

"Hey, Eren!" Christa said to me.

"Wait, don't tell me you guys joined the survey corps?" I asked

"There's no other reason we wouldn't be here," Connie stated.

"So that means Annie, Jean, and Marco joined the military police?" I asked.

Just then, Jean walked up behind me.

"Not you too?"

"Marco is dead," was all he said

"W-What? Are you telling me that Marco is dead?"

"I guess not everyone gets a dramatic death. Nobody knows how he died."

"M-Marco..."

Our silence was interrupted by their squad leader.

"Hey, trainees, your uniforms are here!"

Everyone was handed their survey corps hood. At that moment, everything seem bright. Was this really happening? Then I see a figure with black hair. It has a survey corps hood on. It turns around, and it's marco! I knew he wasn't actually humanly there but I saw him.
