A rough knock shook the door. "Lets go! Everyone up!" Yelled a commander. Samuel woke from his deep sleep and rubbed his eyes. He sat up and pulled the covers off. Memories of last night flooded him. "I should tell the commanders, the Galkara... It seems they're planning an attack on us, and by the look of it a large one."
Another knock came at the door followed by the commander's voice. "You have three minutes, and look presentable, we have important guests."
Guests? Who could that be? He swung out of bed and walked to the bathroom. After brushing his teeth took a wet but warm face cloth and wiped his face. He then changed into brown pants and a navy blue blazer with a sky blue long sleeve shirt underneath. On the arm of his blazer was a red band; the ENF symbol was etched in. He checked himself in the mirror then, once satisfied, walked out and through the door to the courtyard.
"Good to see you're the first one up, since you're the leader of the squad."
"Are the girls up yet?"
"There getting up."
"Good, the rest should be ready soon."
"Once you've assembled the rest of your team, come to the Great Hall." Samuel bowed then watched the commander walk off towards the great hall.
"Why are we needed at the Great Hall? And what guests do we have?" And image of his brother flashed in his mind but he quickly discarded the idea, Aiden was probably still in recovery. He walked back inside and checked on his team. Most of them had gotten up and were getting ready. "Make sure you dress presentable for guests and once your all done here meet me outside with the others."
"What others?" Herman walked out if the bathroom pulling his jacket on over a green dress shirt, a blue strip wrapped around his arm. "You know what guests we're meeting?" Samuel shook his head. "They haven't told me or anyone else as far as I can tell. I have a guess it's a group of people and not just a couple, maybe some higher up ENF members?" Herman walked passed Samuel and looked over the balcony. "The girls are coming out now." Samuel ran over to the railing and looked out. Herman raised his eyebrows seeing Samuel so eager to see them. "Um, you okay? Seems like you've haven't seen them in a long time, it's only been a few hours." Samuel blushed embarrassed. "Don't worry about it." Herman rose his hands in defense. "Whatever."
The guys finished and walked out to the balcony. They all wore the same style but with different colors and each had their special designated color sown into the upper arm of their blazers. Isaac had blue and Ryder had purple. The girls waited for them at the bottom. They wore basically the same outfit, all had bands representing the color they had been given the day before. Silvia had a red stripe that faded to white on her arm; Adalyn and Juno had a green stripe with different designs of flowing waves.
Samuel couldn't get his eyes off Adalyn. She's breathtakingly beautiful! He soon got a hold of himself and took charge. "Alright, so earlier this morning a commander visited and gave me the following directions. We are to meet them in the Great Hall near the command center, there we will meet the guests they've been talking to is about." Everyone nodded and followed him to the Great Hall.
Adalyn ran up next to Samuel wrapping her arm around his. "I wanted to thank you again for last night, it really helped with all my memories of my younger life." He smiled. "Your welcome, I enjoyed our time last night." She pulled away and went back beside her sister. "I'm happy for you Adalyn. I knew from the moment you two saw each other you'd get together." Adalyn blushed. "Thanks sis, are you okay with it?"
"Well, I would say I'm happy for you if I wasn't." They chuckled and followed Samuel.
Isaac looked on with envy, he had always loved her, and her beauty greatly surpassed the others he had liked once. He clenched his fist angered at his thoughts. Just let it go Isaac; there's nothing you can do but be happy for her, happy that she's found someone. You know how hard her life had been, both her parents are dead. His fist loosened as his heart slowed. I've never forgotten her since she left, I couldn't get my feelings for her to leave. "You okay Isaac?" He looked up from the ground to see Herman starring at him. "Yeah, I'm fine."
