Samuel woke with a start. He could feel the ground shake as if an earthquake was beneath him. The light above the door flashed red while an alarm began to sound. He jumped out of bed feeling dizzy. His friends in sync did the same.

Mike was the first to talk. "What's going on?!"

"How should we know? We woke up the same time you did." replied Josef sarcastically.

Samuel looked around the room, the transparent screen was flashing the words "Repot to Armory."

"The screen says to go to the armory"

"Let's go then!" said Mike.

Justin opened the door and they all ran out. Cadets and leaders were running down the hall towards the armory. The hall was lit with bright lights, some flashing red.

"Come on!" yelled a leader. Samuel turned to the window seeing something hit the ground then explode one of the windows that were on each side of the hall. It shattered sending shards of glass slicing into those running. Screams both male and female radiated through the hall, screams of pain as the glass sliced their skin. The ground was soon covered by blood, some helped the wounded to the sides of the hall out of the way for everyone else.

"What on earth is going on?" said someone adjacent to Samuel. Samuel looked down as he ran as to not step on anyone wounded.

They finally reached the armory and piled inside, the walls were racked with guns and suites of armor beside each one. Each set of black armor had neon blue lights running down from the top of the helmet, although the lights turned off when the helmet was not in use by the user. Samuel walked over to the suit closest to him. "This is all happening so fast."

"Alright everyone listen up!" Yelled one of the leaders, "We are having a Code Delta. You know the drill. For all you new cadets, pair up and put your armor on!" Samuel grabbed the suit next to him from off the wall.

"Sam!" It was Josef, "you wanna' pair up?" He turned around. "Sure." Although he'd rather pair up with one of the older cadets he conceded. "You have any idea what's actually happening?"

"Other than us getting attacked? I'm guessing that we and another planet of ours is under attack. My friend told me a while back that when under attack they usually don't tell you until later."

Samuel looked at him confused. "What do you mean? Why would they..." He was interrupted by a the yelling of that same leader "Let's go! Let's go!"

"We better hurry up" said Josef.

With their suits on and guns strapped to their backs, they got into formation behind the large door in front of them. Everyone was in rows, five wide and ten long for each group. Samuel and Josef were both in the third group with Justin and Mike. "Who is our leader?" Whispered Mike to Justin. "Quiet! You'll find out soon enough."

Aiden walked up in front of all the soldiers. He was dressed in black armor with red neon lines running down the sides, gun strapped to his back. "Alright everyone! We're under attack, both here and at the planet Arcathin. We need to have two teams on each planet, so listen up while I call out your groups!" Samuel was actually getting nervous. "This is weird, I never get nervous." He turned to Josef. "Are you nervous?" Once he said it he realized how stupid it sounded. "Um, I wouldn't tell you even if I was." Josef replied. Samuel turned back around to face the front.

"Group one and three! You will be transported to Arcathin..."

"That's us." Stated Josef looking at Samuel. "I've never been to the planet before."

"You haven't? Doesn't your school go every year?" asked Josef

"Yeah, but I was never able to go because the trip was always on the week I went to visit my family."

"Oh, well, it will be a lot different than a field trip today."

Samuel, Josef, Justin, and Mike all marched forward with their group. They approached the transportation ship that would take them to the planet Arcathin. The entire ship was black with no windows except for the one in the front for the pilots. On each wing of the ship was a small compartment, big enough for someone to fit inside. The compartment had huge laser cannons in the front of it that could be controlled by the person inside. The ship started up. Thruster's on the bottom of the ship burst their blue flame and lifted the ship a few inches off the ground.

"Everyone in!" Yelled Aiden.

Samuel and his friends climbed aboard through the back of the ship along with the rest of their group, numbering fifty in all. "It's go time troops!" Yelled the pilot through the small speaker on the ceiling of the ship. "Let's get this party underway!"

Aiden boarded and took a seat next to the pilot. He had seen the signs of their coming, but never guessed that they would attack two planets at once. Arcathin held valuable resources that were crucial for a powerful military force. If destroyed, humans would be die out shortly unless they could find a new planet with the same resources. Fortunately, Arcarhin was well guarded.

"We ready?" He asked the pilot.

"Copy that." The pilot pushed a button on the control panel in front of him. He leaned forward into a mic. "It's go time troops! Let's get this party under way!"

The ship lifted off towards the planet Arcathin. Blue lights flashed around the ship, indicating lift-off to others nearby. The electric plasma powered engine revved up, releasing a low pitched tone that slowly rose in pitch. The thruster's intensity made the ground of the hanger glow a dark orange as it lifted off.

Samuel was nervous. It was his first time ever leaving New Earth. He always wondered what it would be like, but now that he knew all he wanted was to stay on New Earth. Their ship flew off into space.

The aircraft entered the battle zone. Explosions filled the air; the Galkara were unloading heavy damage on the troops who were desperately trying to fend them off.

"Alright!" It was the pilot again. "When you get down there, report straight to the General in charge! He'll be wearing armor with green lines!"

The shuttle started to descend.

Aiden was staring out the window of the pilots chamber. "So many" he said.

"What was that?" Asked the pilot.

"So many, even on the Galkaras side." He turned his head towards the pilot. "I just wonder how they can afford to keep attacking us all the time, don't they ever..."

"Look out!"

Aiden saw it, the missile headed straight for them. The pilot tried in vain to steer the ship away.

Samuel could hear someone yell in the pilots cabin. "Wonder what's happening up there" said Mike.

Samuel suddenly had a bad feeling in his stomach. Then he heard it, the speaker on the ceiling. "Prepare for impact!" It was the pilot. Everyone inside the back of the ship held on to the railing by the side of every seat, then the rocket hit.

"Sir, be advised that Shuttle One has been hit and is going down" said the robotic program of the second shuttle to General Niko. "I see it; anything we can do to help?" Said General Niko. "I'm afraid not" replied the program.

"Damn this blasted program! Useless when I need it." General Niko pushed the talk button on the screen in front of him. "Everyone listen up back there! I need five walkers; if you want to be one, report immediately in front of the back doors.

"Alright pilot, you got this?" said General Niko

"Nope," replied the pilot chuckling.

"Thought as much," laughed Niko.

The General opened the door that lead to the housing for the troops. He walked down the middle as all the troops saluted him. "You five!" He shouted while walking up to a group. "You ready?!" The five cadets raised their hands and saluted. "Yes, Sir!" They shouted.

The back door opened, revealing the raging battle outside. The General turned and looked at the five standing in front of him. "Let's go then!" His voice was enthusiastic as he jumped out, the five following behind.
