After the skirmish with the other teams, they were given the rest of the day off to explore the grounds. Lead by one of the commanders, and a couple of members from different teams who tagged along, they were able to see most of the first half of the base before the lunch bell rang. There were multiple watchtowers that over looked the rest of the mountain, always looking for any sign of trouble. Two radar bases were located on each side if the mountain, ensuring total security from the sky above and the surrounding mountains and forests. There were also a couple of natural swimming pools carved from waterfalls by rivers and springs above.

Near the top of the mountain snowy landscapes and white forests waited, summer would soon come and melt most of the snow but never all of it. As it melted it would flow down streams and rivers.

They were also shown multiple mountain ledges that overlooked the houses and buildings on the grounds below. The main building in the middle was the command center, every morning they needed to report there and revive their schedule and assignments for the day.

Everyone made his or her way over to the lunch hall; soon a line was formed outside the door. Samuel had noticed that the food here was so much better than back at the SNF base, he guessed that a smaller group to feed meant better food.

Samuel's team was seated together near the middle of the large room. Twenty tables were scattered throughout the room but only half of them were filled up. Ryder looked around the room soaking in the thought that they were actually here, in the Elite side of SNF. "I can't believe it, ENF." Juno smiled at him. "We all know Ryder, you've been saying that since the beginning of the tour."

"I know, but still." The group laughed amused. The meal consisted of cubed steak inside of a potato and noodle soup with beef broth. A hearty meal that would get you full fast and for a while, the type that would keep them strong during the upcoming weeks and months of training. Samuel took a large spoonful of the soup and stuffed it into his mouth, savoring the wonderful taste that coated the inside of his mouth. "What do you all think of the food here?" Isaac swallowed then replied before anyone else. "This is by far the best food I've ever had in my life!" Ryder nodded in return. "Yes, I agree. It's some of the best food I've had in a long time. How about you Juno?" She rose her eyebrows quizzically. "Are we all just gonna sit here and talk about how good the food is? Why not talk about important things for our team?" Everyone starred. "What? I'm trying to be... oh never mind." They all laughed, finally enjoying themselves for once in a long time. Isaac finished his bowl and picked it up, bringing it to his mouth he slurped the broth. He exhaled, satisfied with the meal. "You know what everyone, this could even be better than my moms food." Everyone starred at him wondering. "What? My mom was never around. I was basically left on my own my whole life." Adalyn's face turned red with anger. "You know that's not true Isaac, I know you haven't forgotten how much..." She exhaled while taking her plate and standing. "I'm sorry, I need to leave." Turning, she left, throwing her plate away then quickly ran outside.

"Isaac, what was that all about?" Herman asked. "I've known you for a while now and you weren't alone all the time. And what did Adalyn have to do with this?" Isaac's face turned red embarrassed by the whole thing. "Nothing, just a misunderstanding. Ill talk to her in the morning when she's cooled down." Samuel was surprised by the whole encounter along with everyone else. Why would Adalyn? What could make her so angry like that? He thought to himself. Isaac stood and walked out of the hall towards their quarters. Samuel turned to Silvia. "Do you know what just happened?" She shook her head; she was just as surprised as he was. "No, I have no idea. I didn't even know she knew Isaac."

"Wait, did you know him before this?"

"Only a little. He was in the Early Bird during the time we were there, but I never got to know him well, only talked a few times before this." Samuel thought hard. Should I go talk to her? "Hey Sam, I've noticed that she responds to you well. I think you should go talk to her."
