Today was the day the day that Lindsay and Halstead would find out the sex of their baby. They wanted to wait until she was 6 months along to find out.

"Erin Lindsay." One of the nurses called Erin into the hall leading to radiology. She waddled to her and Jay followed. They  reached the room and Erin laid down on the bed. Jay held her hand as the nurse applied the cold, petroleum jelly based gel on her belly. She roamed around to find the baby's heartbeat. She moved the cursor to Erin's right side to reveal loud drum like sound. Their baby's heart was the loudest thing in the room. She then slid it to the left side and heard another heartbeat.

"Um... Ms. Lindsay what would you say if I said you were having twins." The nurse asked softly.

"I would say you are crazy." Erin said smirking.

"Well I'm crazy then, because you are." She said smiling. Jay's face lit up and Erin faked her smile.

As the appointment ended the nurse handed them an envelop with the baby's gender in it. They later dropped it off to the bakery and asked for a dozen cupcakes for each baby filled with blue frosting if it was a boy and pink if it was a girl. They waited until the cupcakes were ready then drove to the district. Erin was riding passenger holding the box while Jay drove. Erin began tapping her foot uncontrollably with nervousness.

"Babe, what's wrong?" Jay asked placing his hand on her left thigh.

"I'm really nervous. I was worried about one baby, now i have to take care of both." She began tearing up on him.

" It's going to be okay. You won't be alone." Jay said comforting her then kissing her forehead and interlinking his fingers with hers.

They arrived at the district and told Platt to follow them. They reached the bullpen and got everybody's attention.

"Everybody please come to my desk we have and announcement." Jay said. Everybody went to Jay's desk and listened closely.

"As you can see Erin is pregnant and we would like to share the gender reveal with the people we care about. So please grab a cupcake." Jay continued. Everybody grabbed a cupcake from the left side of the divided box.

"Erin, why are there more cupcakes?" Atwater asked.

"There are more because we are having twins, so after you are done with that one, come get another." Erin said loud enough for everyone to hear her. The whole team of intelligence jaws dropped. Erin grabbed one and so did Jay, they bit into it to reveal blue frosting. They both began smiling and kissed each other. Then they both bit into the other cupcake. It revealed pink frosting. They were now having a boy and girl.

   Later that day...

Erin and Jay were in the break room talking when Hank walked in.

"You guys happy about a boy and a girl?" Hank asked them, slightly getting teary-eyed.

"Yeah. Personally I'm stoked." Jay said with a big smile. He walked out of the room and left Hank and Erin alone.

"Kid, how you doin'?" Hank asked seriously.

"Well... not so good. I'm just worried that i am going to be bad at this. Like, look who my mother is, the only thing she did was OD and drink. That was the only thing i saw." Erin said so monotoned so no one knew what the were talking about.

"Erin, Don't worry about it, you're not Bunny. So just calm down. Plus you've got me." Hank said pulling Erin in for a hug then walking out.

  Later that night:

Erin went home early that night because the team did not need her. She started driving home when she got a text from Jay.

J: "So what should we name them?"

E: Well for the girl I was thinking Aidan Camille. 1. Because it is Nadia backwards and 2. I wanted to honor Camille.  And I was thinking Ben, for a little boy."

J: "I think those are two amazing ideas."

E: Thank you. Oh, can you pick me up some food i'm getting cravings.

E:" Oh and it has to be big, We are all hungry."

J: "Will do."

Erin got home and sat on the couch. She took her coat off and went to put her feet up when the door buzzer rang. She waddled over to the door revealing a man with a gun. She stood there in shock until he broke silence with a shot of the gun. After he was down he left the building, leaving Erin to bleed out and die. She immediately got a text by an unknown number.

"Leave him alone." The text read. She ignored it and quickly called Jay.

"Er, What's up?" Jay said answering the phone. She did not respond.

"Erin?" He was now nervous.

"Help." She winced before fading away. The phone call was silent on both lines. Jay left right away, even though he did not know what was going on. As time passed he arrived. He ran up the stairs and to their door. He slammed open the door revealing Erin's pregnant body. He picked up her head to check for a pulse. It was there but it was faint she had lost too much blood. He dialed 911 and in minutes Gabriella Dawson was there.

 Hours later at the Hospital:

"Jay." His brother will said quietly. Jay's head popped out from his hands at the sound of his voice.

"I have news. The good news is that both babies are fine and Erin is stabilized. But the bad news is that the babies were born premature and the girl had a collapsed lung, but we are taking care of that, She is being monitored and so is the boy." Will said.

Jay let out breath as a response. Will motioned Jay to follow him to Erin. They reached the room and he ran over to her. He held her hand as she layed there recovering from her emergency C-section and removal of the bullet. He just sat there and cried waiting for her to recover.
