Nothing Says Romance Like Pancakes

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, there was a bunch of stuff going on at once. Welp at least I wrote this cute thing!

*Phil's POV

"Daaaan," I say as I lightly shake him to wake him up. "Wake up, wake up, wake up!" I whisper as I hear an annoyed groan from him.

He rolls over onto his side, facing away from me, and says, "Uuggghhh". I get tired of this and decide to jump on him, kissing all over his face. He yelps and whines before groaning out a long "fiiiiiiiine". I say a quick yay before he sits up and pushes me off.

After sitting there for a little in peace, I feel my stomach grumble and remember we haven't eaten breakfast. I suggest getting breakfast to Dan, who quickly replies yes.

As we walk out to the kitchen, I turn my head to him.

"Do you want pancakes?" I ask.

"When do I not want pancakes?" He says while giggling.

I laugh slightly with him before replying, "Nothing says romance like pancakes!" as I lean in to peck him on the cheek.

We quickly gather the ingredients for the pancakes and as Dan's mixing the batter, he spills little droplets all over the floor around him.

"Daaaaan!" I say, dragging out the letters. He giggles as he apologizes for the mess, claiming he'll clean it later when we both know he'll end up forgetting about it after procrastinating on cleaning it up.

After he hands me the bowl, I begin pouring it in, feeling Dan's arms wrap around my waist as he leans into me. I carefully flip them, and before long have made 4 so each of us receives 2. I place the pancakes on plates and grab the syrup before placing them on the dining table.

We eat sitting beside each other rather than across from each other so we can hold hands and just be closer than if there was a table between us.

He finishes before me and lays his head on my shoulder as he wraps his arms around me loosely. I lean into his touch and once finished, put my arms around him as well and tilt his chin up to pull him into a short kiss.

After we pull away, we set the dishes in the sink to wash later and walk out to the lounge. We decide to watch Steven Universe as we cuddle together.

As it begins to play, Dan scoots closer to me until he's practically sitting on me and leans into me. I wrap my arm around him loosely as we watch the episode. The colors calm me down and it's very peaceful.

When the episode ends, we turn the tv off before going back to what used to be my room, but we now both share it. We lay on the bed together playing on our phones for a few hours before I remember we need to edit a video.

I tell Dan and go to the other room to start editing. This video was going to be one that had been requested by many people since the Punk Edits video. So after a while of debating it, Dan and I finally did Pastel Edits.

As I started editing it, I laughed at some of the things we had done and awed at how adorable Dan looked. I continued going through it, making sure to cut out all the bits of us kissing. We don't want people to know just yet, but we're hoping to come out soon.

When I'm almost done editing, Dan walks in and wraps his arms around me. It helps to relieve some of the stress that had built up while I had been doing that. I finish the last part and start uploading it and realize that it's time for dinner already.

I stand up and turn to wrap my arms around Dan as well and we stand there for a few moments just embracing each other before we pull away with a few departing kisses. We mutually decide to go get dinner and walk to the kitchen to retrieve some food.

We decide to be lazy and just make some ramen. Dan microwaves the two packages while I go set up the tv to watch Doctor Who. Soon he's finished with the process and walks into the room holding the two bowls. He sits down on the sofa and I hit play.

We watch two episodes before deciding to set the dishes in the sink and go to bed. As we settle into bed, I slide up to Dan and wrap my arm around his waist, pulling his back against my chest.

"Good night, Dan, I love you."

"Good night Phil, I love you too."

He turns his head around for a second to give me a kiss before turning back over and falling asleep in a few minutes, snoring softly. I smile at him even though he can't see and fall asleep happily.
