7 Years after graduation - September 3rd 2021 (scary ahh)
"When are you coming back?" I asked Gracie over the phone. She and Tom had stayed a couple extra days in the Hamptons to the rest of us, who all came back on Friday night. I go back to work today, and it's now 7:30am, and I'm just about to leave.
"Uh, tonight. We're having a group dinner tonight at their place" she tells me nervously.
"Okay. I'll see you then. I got to go, love you" I say and hang up. "Kenz, I'm leaving!" I call into the loft. I faintly heard her over her music, so I left, flinging my handbag onto my shoulder.
I talked to the doorman for five minutes before a cab finally pulled up. I had left my car in the Hamptons, like planned, and caught a cab to work, or I walked. But today I was too late to walk to make it in time, so I'm getting a cab.
"555 West 25th street please" I said to the driver, and we were off, zooming in the New York traffic I had grown to love over the past seven years.
"Welcome back, Sammy" the receptionist at DNA Models, where I worked, greeted as I walked across the tiled floors in my heels.
"Morning Dana" I said back and entered the elevator, pressing floor 14 and stepping back. The whole building was full of different offices (A/N: I know DNA Models is in a smaller building, but pretend it's in a massive building okay? Okay.) and four of those belonged to DNA: floors 11, 12, 13, and 14. Floors 12 and 13 are the same, but 12th is for women, and 13th is for the male models. Same layout and purpose, just different genders. The 11th floor is like the massive wardrobe, and editing. The 14th floor, where I'm going, is the main offices and meeting rooms.
I stepped out of the elevator and made my way through the glass entrance doors and down the hall, my heels clicking along the tiles again, and came out to a large open-plan office space. The less-important roles were just given cubical offices, but were rather large compared to a different company, and there were three separate rooms along the back wall, separated from this area by white walls. Two of them, the outside two, were conference rooms, where meetings were held. The middle one, where I'm about to walk into, is the head of the company's office. I swiftly knocked twice and walked in to see my boss sitting in her white chair behind the glass desk.
"Sammy, it's so good to see you! Now, I have a list for you" she says, smiling sheepishly at me.
"Georgia, it's my job to complete your lists. I'm your personal assistant, after all" I smile and take the paper from her.
"You are my life saver. Take Jedd along with you" she says and goes back to her computer. I wave to her as I leave, dialling Jedd's phone number.
"Jedd. Where are you?"
"Lobby. I'm waiting for you and the list" he chuckled. I hung up and walked back down the hall to the elevator, and took it down to the lobby where I found my foolish cousin waiting for me in a dress shirt and jeans; the usual.
"Alright, what's first?" he asked as we walked outside.
"Taking Ally to the vet" I sighed. Ally was Georgia's pet Pomeranian. Cute dog, but so difficult to deal with!
"Damn it" Jedd grumbled and we got into the work car we always used, telling the driver to go to Georgia's townhouse.
A/N:
For anyone who doesn't know who Ryan Guzman is (Jedd), he plays Jake in Pretty Little Liars. Google him!
Hope your all liking this so far!
