3rd December, Wednesday (3 days before wedding)
"They're beautiful, Gracie" Mel, one of Gracie's college friends, awed at the bridesmaid dresses. She was currently trying on the light yellow one. Next to her was Bree, from NYU too, in a light pink number. Jordan was still getting into her light blue dress, but was gushing from behind the door. We were in the loft, trying the dresses on. I had tried mine on when we picked them up two days ago, on Monday. Mine was a light mint colour, and was a fit-and-flare type dress, same as the others, but mine was made in silk, so it was shiny, whereas the others were a matte material. They all fit tightly until just under the bust, where they dropped down just above our knees.
"I know. Oh you guys look so good" Gracie said, smiling. "I love you guys" she says, pulling us into a hug.
"Hey! What about me?" Jordan pouted, stepping out in her dress. She joined the group hug, squeezing us all tightly.
"Jorde- can't- breath- get- off" Mel choked out.
"God, talk about tough love" Bree joked and we laughed."I got to go back to work. I'll catch up later" I said and stood from the couch. I had come home for my lunch break instead of going out with Jedd, like usual, because I wanted to see the girls in their dresses.
After saying goodbye to them all, I took the elevator down and caught a cab back to the building."Jedd, Sammy" Georgia called us. We stood from our desks and walked into her office to where she was sitting behind her desk. "There's going to be a meeting in five minutes that I'd like one of you to sit in on and take notes" she says, not looking up. "Jedd you can go home. I know you won't do it" she adds, smirking at him.
"Thank God! I'll see you's tomorrow" he says and leaves.
"Georgia, I can't come in till Monday, remember?" I remind her as she collected some things into her hands.
"I know, it's Gracie's wedding. I haven't forgotten" she smiles and we leave, me grabbing a notepad and pen as we passed our desks. We walked into the main conference room and she sat at the head of the table, and I took my usual seat next to her. We chatted while we waited for the other people to get here. Apparently, this meeting was about a new shoot for Abercrombie and Fitch.
"Sorry we're late, Julian was caught up" a man in a business suit says as he walked in, four guys following behind. As they all took their places around the table, I felt someone staring at me as I wrote something down Georgia had told me. I looked up when I finished and met the familiar boy with brown hair and brown eyes.
Oh God... fate, if this is you... I owe you one!
