The Anti-Western Cosplayers Movement {RANT}

WARNING: SWEARING (I'm sorry about this, I'm just super PISSED!)

Oh, where do I start with this absolute disgrace? The Anti-Western Cosplayers Movement is an online organization that wants people from the West (namely Americans) to stop cosplaying as anime and manga characters. They claim that by doing so, they are being extremely offensive to Asians. Ok, so American anime cosplays are being offensive by taking the time and effort it requires to plan out a cosplay and then get the money to get the costume or even make the costume themselves? Yeah, your logic seems really sound there. *HEAVY SARCASM*

Another one of their big complaint is: "They don't even LOOK like the characters!:" I'm sorry that we can not change our facial and bone structure to appease you heathens!

By this freaking fucked up logic, I shouldn't be able to cosplay as Britannia  or Ancient Greece simply because they're Hetalia characters. If anyone who supports this movement sees this, there's something I want to tell you.

Listen asshole, I am not doing anything that would be considered offensive by essentially playing dress up. If I didn't love these characters and the anime/manga/webcomic that they're from, I wouldn't be doing it at all.

This movement also claims that Westerners should stick to cosplaying Western cartoon or comic characters.

How the FUCK would this SHIT group react if Asians could only cosplay manga/anime characters? 

Ok, I'm done, I just find this entire thing to be absolutely horrendous.
