Jenn's phone vibrated from its spot on the hotel's dresser.

She ended up spending the whole day at the museum and didn't even see the half of it. She was forced out once the museum closed and decided to head back to her hotel and get some rest for her long day tomorrow. She still had to pack and her flight left at eight in the morning on Saturday, meaning she had to get up at 3 in the morning to get there in time.
She spat out the toothpaste in her mouth and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Sorry I couldn't make it to the museum." William's voice said. "Did you like it?"

Jenn gave a small smile. "It was great but a bit overwhelming."

"Yeah, it's huge. I don't I've even seen half of it."

Jenn laughed.

"Did you see the blue whale's skeleton?"

She nodded. "Yeah, that was my favorite I think. It was impressive."

"I know."

A silence fell between them.

"How's your grandmother?" Jenn asked.

"Oh," William said, thrown off guard. "She's great. Healthy as a horse. Just wanting some attention, is all."

"Ah." Jenn said.

More silence.

"Umm, Jenn?" William asked hesitantly.

"Yes?"

"Uh, are you doing anything tonight?"

"No, the museum was exhausting and I'm planning on going right to sleep."

"Oh." William sounded disappointed.

"But," Jenn said. "I might be willing to hold off on that for a few hours."

"Well, I'd like to take you out for dinner if that's okay?"

Jenn smiled. "Only if you come with me to the Royal Opera house. I happen to have an extra ticket."

"How'd you do that?" His tone was slightly suspicious.

"Well, my friend and I were actually going to come to London together, but then last minute stuff came up and she couldn't get a refund on the ticket. I was going to give it to someone, but if you'd like to join me..." Jenn trailed off.

"You've got yourself a deal. When can you be ready?"

Jenn cast a look at her pajamas and lipstickless lips. "Give me an hour."
